Posted on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 - 08:26 pm it's done, but not finished. is it ever finished? lol i got some re-work to do, and such, but... i was trying to match the battle blue, but it dried lighter. some UNC stickers would be a good cover story. GO TARHEELS! |

Looks pretty cool...can't wait to see it in person. If you do end up keeping it on there, you DEFINITELY have to Line-X it. |

yea, it rubs, but not 2 bad. Question for u tank, since this was ur fairin at one time. did ur bike seam to kick the fan on more with it on? also did u just keep ur oil cooler in the stock position? thanks yea, i didnt see a point to makin the body 100% clean, as im going to end up line-xing it anyways. |

Honestly, I never rode the bike with the fairing. I bought the bike in the pic from a dude near DC, He had it on there the whole time he owned it with no problems. BUT, it was an XB9. It runs cooler to start with. I would say that you could expect the fan to run more. Yep, the oil cooler was in the stock location with the scoop still on, rubbing the fairing. I asked some racers if they kept the big air scoop on with the fairing and they said yes. Line-X....that's going to look BAD ASS!!! |

hmm..i dont see how they kept the scoop on, but thats ok, i got some ideas for it, to help keep it cooler. thanks for the info. |

Ok, just got back from getting the quote from the line-x people. He quoted me at $200-300, that includes doing the inside of the fairing. Then i got a quote for my truck too and he said about $500-600, to include doing the inside of my walls (they are removable). So what u guys think? if i do go with it im going to have to wait a bit for the money. |

that IS a good chunk of change. but if you try to DIY, it prolly won't match. so i can see paying that for yer full farring, but i wouldn't hesitate to take a roller and brush to yer truck |
