I have checked many threads on this site and still can't find what I am looking for. More specifically... I need some help finding a universal fork mount that can be used for mounting aftermarket lights. I like the Moto Light strap type system but, would like to have more choices of lamp kits. If anyone has found/used a universal strap mount for auxiliary lights on the forks PLEASE respond. |

Union_man: Here are a couple of options that I have built. They are all made from sections of 3" X 3" X 1/4" aluminum angle. The bracket on the Uly bolts right up to the lower triple tree and fender. If larger lights were needed than the PIAA 1100X, they could be bolted to the top of the bracket - although this would precipitate a relocation of the turn signals. The second set uses the same aluminum stock. The only design unknown at present is which t-bar clamps will work on the Uly fork tubes. Research in this area is on my list of things to do. Let me know if you have any questions. I have been meaning to take some better photos of the Uly bracket . . .so many tasks, so little time . . Don |

In my opinion (I have stated this before) that is the most clever, inexpensive, lightweight, versatile and bulletproof lighting / accessory mount I have ever seen. Pure genius in it's simplicity! |

Union_man: I have been building these brackets out of my home. The are the angle stock and T-bar hose clamps. My design has been constrained by the aluminum stock available locally - 3" X 3" being the largest I can find without a journey to Denver. T-Bar clamps of various diameters are available online - and the size of the clamp is the critical adjustment from one model to another. The brackets shown are sized for the PIAA 1100X lights. It might be possible to use this same size for other larger lights by mounting them on the top of brackets. Another thought was to use a longer section of the angle stock to bring the lights forward of the fork tubes to clear larger lights. Hope this helps, Don |

Has anyone wired the new lights to the pass switch? I was wondering if it is possible to find a switch that turns on with a click and off with another? This would be ideal because I rarely use the pass flasher. |

Update!!! I bought some Street Scene 55W auxiliary driving lights and plan to fabricate the mounting bracket similar to Doncasto’s design (top picture). I also ordered an Autoswitch model “AS-5P - High Beam, Single Press” Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram that clearly shows the Flash to Pass switch’s wiring? I can’t find the Flash To Pass wire in the manual. I have used the “search” on BadWeb for the info and can’t find what I need. Any help would be appreciated!!! |

>>>Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram that clearly shows the Flash to Pass switch’s wiring? There are detailed wiring diagrams in the service manual. There is also LOTS of information in the PROPER threads that I directed you to above. Thousands have installed aux lights on the Uly . . . it is well documented. |
