For sale is my 95 S2, number 35. It has about 20K miles, new tires, wheel bearings, paint, brake pads, cables, corbin seat and other stuff I cannot remember. Motor is strong and untouched, no leaks. Original S2 handle bars, foot pegs and muffler. Located in Fountain Colorado.
Will consider trades for any year Westwind in any condition! (Message edited by f_skinner on February 05, 2009) (Message edited by f_skinner on February 06, 2009) |

Joe, if I keep it I will need to add the S2T pegs and bars and I hate to do that. I certainly do not mind keeping it. I forgot something in my original post and have to edit. Frank |

Well the 95 S2 was fun to work on and I learned a lot. I will keep my 96 S2T as that will be my last bike. I would really like to do a Westwind next. Although I have never kept a bike stock this one is as close as I have ever come. I mostly just did cosmetic stuff to it. I rode her today and she rides great especially after I replaced the isolators. I would really like to return a Westwind to service. I do not want a collectable bike but one I can ride like this one. I will take better pics when I am not preoccupied with fixing the S1W if anyone is interested. |

Frank - the pegs and bars are fairly non-invasive....but you know that. I told Kim about this one, and she said she liked your "gray one" best, and that I could buy that one if you ever sold it I mentioned it was basically the same as my red one, and she volunteered that I could sell mine to get yours. What a gal, lol. If it were me, I'd do the bars/pegs, and ride it. Unless you need money for a certain CF bodywork set, elsewhere on badweb.... |

Joe, Kim has great taste. I do not ever see me selling the S2T. I got very lucky in finding her and besides it is Lynn's favorite as well. I would really like to do a Westwind and if one comes along I hope to get it. I was hoping someone might have a complete Westwind in a garage and would want a S2 that can be a daily driver. I can wait. The 95 S2 will be my ride back and forth to work bike since with the original muffler it is real smooth and pulls like a train. I think I did put "Or Best Offer" Joe! If you find a Westwind in MD you will let me know won't you? You buy the Westwind and we trade straight up? You know, that CF body work would look great on the S2T but with Lynn working part time, school full time and my situation I probably can not afford it. |

Tease. I did ride mine today, though. Plugs fire much better when they're not dripping raw fuel, lol. It was just mad at me for riding the Uly every day for the last 3 months... I know you did a lot of work on the '95 - did you do anything with the wheels? Reason I ask is, looking at your Marchi sticker reminded me I need a couple. *Some*one hit them with brake cleaner and the lettering is wearing off. If you redid yours, where'd you find decals? I may have to try one with a stock muffler sometime. Mine came with the old Supertrapp - performed well enough, hated the sound, adapted a Buell race can to the stock header (that's the way it was at Homecoming). Pulls nice and even, but I'm always curious how stockers perform...although, with the Thunderstorm top end my bike has it may not be a fair comparison. |

Joe, wheels are like they were when I got it! After riding the S2T 250 miles today I am thinking about putting a stock muffler back on it. It was wearing on me a bit. Either that, the cold, the wind, or the Interstate. I had intended to stop in and see Dan at NRHS since he has a couple of Westwinds to see if I could pry one away from him but he was out of town... Damn it... |

Well guys I found a Westwind however he does not want the S2. I am going to have to lower the price to 4,500. I have to be firm at that price and will keep her if she does not sell. I will also entertain doing a delivery for gas money (diesel) but would not feel comfortable with someone buying a bike they have not seen in person but I am opening to some options. I am in Denver at the airport so I will not check my mail again until I arrive in Omaha NE later today. My email is f_skinner@yahoo.com Frank |

Frank - you could always try emailing Kim directly...maybe if it comes from you instead of from me.... Seriously though, congrats on finding the westwind. Pics as soon as it's home, of course! |
