Ds_tiger is getting the first production one. UPS red from North Carolina to Texas today. We have enough parts for a first run of 10 and I'm ordering parts for 40 more. Cell phone pic. from Kevin's shop:

You just HAD to throw out who's getting the 1st one, then tease us further by saying you have enough parts for the 1st 10 pipes? Looks NICE though. |

So spill the beans Kevin & Steve. How can we find out where we are on the list, and what kind of timeline are we looking at based upon where we're at on said list? |

Is it confirmed that this pipe works well with the stock ECM? That thing looks absolutely stunning, but the price of the pipe is hard to swallow if I need to put some cash into tuning as well. You figure a Jardine is $450, plus a Remus Powerizer as a minimum level of tuning and your pretty close to the cost of this. Also - any word on volume on this thing compared to other offerings like the Jardine or HMF? I don't want anything real loud. |

Yesir- I am expecting it tomorrow. I can tell you Kevin is over the moon about this pipe. He mentioned to me that this is the most effort and the hardest pipe with the biggest blood sweat and tears factor of any of his pipes. He is a good man, and has kept me posted every step of the way here in the final week. More than likely not going to do a recording of it- so want to manage that expectation, nor is going to the dyno any time soon> Some of our other Bad Web Bretheren will need to step up for that. But I will post pictures, and ride impressions FWIW. Cheers! Here are some cell phone pictures in the rough finish stages-

Carbon - lol, I can get that specially waterjet cut into the bracket. I wouldn't suggest it though..... Might be hard to explain to a LEO. |

Rodger that, Jerseyguy. Fun to think about, though. Just out of curiosity, how much of a bump in price would that represent? How about the "If it ain't a Drummer...." thing? Always had a soft spot in my heart for that. DS, Thanks for the pics! Damn that looks good! R (Message edited by carbonbigfoot on February 19, 2009) |

That pipe is beautiful! Too bad it's not in the cards this year, unless I come about some extra money.. I have a new truck coming in a month and will need to mod that (V8 Colorado), and I already showed the credit card who is the boss by buying a new Shoei X-11. But it shall be mine, oh yes! It shall be mine! |

Any chance you modify the tip to make it more of a slash cut and pointed further away fromt the wheel? Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised. Has it been dynoed on a '09? And how much weight saved? (Message edited by clarkjw on February 19, 2009) |

Now all you need is a body pan to fill in the space that the stock muffler took up. REX |

There was some talk that Kevin was thinking of developing some sort of bikini fairing to fit with his Drummer SS ... is there still any chance of that happening? |

My preference, I dig the exposed pipe under the motor. Kinda <gasp> Ducati-ish. Not going to cover mine up! R |

Just how much louder than stock are we talking? Unlike everyone else here, I don't care about noise. I just want a muffler that won't rust. EVER. Right now I'm considering the e-certified Remus pipe that Trojan carries... |

We should have some low tech sound clips by the end of this weekend. We will try to include some clips of an XB12 with a Buell race pipe and an XB12 with a Spec Ops pipe that retains a stock outlet for comparison. |

I was going to pass on this pipe but now I may have to reconsider. This is by far the best looking pipe offered to date.

So who's next on the list? Aren't we jumping the gun here? Where are the QUALITY pics of the can mounted on the bike? Where are the QUALITY sounds clips? (how about the before and after with the stocker?) Where are the QUALITY dyno runs not on a suspect dyno? For a grand, I think the paying public deserves this information. It does look sweet though. Black and stainless is for me. |

Ya know, you're right! Kinda like the fuzzy pics of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster! Where's the data? OOoops. Sorry. I was just getting defensive there. I had the impression that somebody was grabbing money out of your wallet without your permission. If you're not convinced, Don't Buy One. Pretty simple. Rob |

What, do you think that it's unreasonable to want some solid info on an item that is pushing four digits in cost? I think that's the LEAST they could do before shipping the first unit and indicating that they are gonna make the next 10 cans. If you want to drop a grand on an item with suspect dyno testing, cell phone pics and web cam audio. Go right ahead. After all your "Is it ready now" posts you are obligated anyway. |
