I got 25 million reasons not to care this year alone. I wonder how good we all would be after a little HGH maybe not Aroid but I'd venture to say at least 3 milllion a year good |

A-Rod's a druggie AND a liar . . . as good ol'Warner Wolfe said . . . his entire career now has a giant "*" next to it . . . everyone who believes he was "injected" with something regularly for 3 years and "had no idea what it was". . . raise you hand? He's got all the makings of a politician. |

I enjoy watching our local ball club more than the majors. Here in SEC country, more folks watch college football more than pro. There are more folks who watch the Final Four than watch pro. See a trend? |

I just realized that we were ALL being conned when they staged the last MLB strike. Check out AA and AAA ballgames. Out here in little old Lancaster, our team the JetHawks is the Boston Red Socks afiliate. Games are family oriented, no more than ten bucks, 7th innings for the kids on the field, LOADS of fun and people seem to be playing for the love of the game. SCREW ball players with QUARTER BILLION dollar contracts!! |

>>>SCREW ball players with QUARTER BILLION dollar contracts!! I agree. I took one of the nephews to opening day at Yankee Stadium last year . . . it was cool, but you're talking hundreds of dollars. I get really wound up watching KU (Current NCAA Champions) in the Final Four each year but have never seen and could care less about a pro game. . . . |

I'm still wondering why Pete Rose got banished to the Phantom Zone never again to be known to man nor baseball and these cheats continue to be justified for their "mistakes"! Hypocrite A-holes. |

April looks better in the second pic. But A-Rod had me fooled. I didn't think he was a user. McGwire and Bonds were obvious, but A-Rod not so much from outward appearances. The entire period from 1990-2008 should be labeled the steroid era. (Message edited by boltrider on February 19, 2009) |

I could care less about the Juicing... Its been in lockers rooms since I was in high School. The big question who isn't? As far as Salary's that is for baseball to figure out... We don't bat a lash when brad pitt or some other movie star gets 20 mill for movie. |

Full disclosure: I in a previous job had close contact with Arod nearly everyday. When he was originally with the Mariners he lived in the building I worked at. I can honestly say he is a genuinely nice guy. He is (was?) extremely shy. He would wait until late evening when no one else was around to come down and say hello. Now his assistant (Yhurgi) was a piece of work. I rarely could understand anything he said. It made my job a real chore sometimes. The one sad thing about A-Rod. The "fans" found out where he lived. Shortly after all four of his cars were targeted repeatedly. They would break into his cars to steal any baseball equipment. We (the building) ended up getting extra security just to keep the curious out. |
