do you really like that X1???? it's very german-style, not my favorite indeed! the only 2 things I's save on that bike are the wheels and the RRC short tail section, that's all! |

i think the paint and color coordination makes it, i dont care 100% for the headlight. other than the headlight i think it is sweet! im also probably one of the younger guys to be riding a tuber. plus i dont know one tuber i have ever seen that was 100% stock.......so with every change they just keep getting better. |

I like the headlight that it had on it when I saw it at Hamburg Harley Days this past June.
And I totally dug the CF covered swingarm:

Was thinking the same thing.....also that swingarm looks like its just wrapped with carbon fiber or something, the inside of the axle block area is still alluminum. i truly believe the overseas buell parts and market are far superior to what we have over here. the connection between the two has never really been made in my opinion. |

Limited, I'm not 100% sure, but I'd hazard a guess that the bike is owned by the owner of Rauso. To think it's a business expense and is probably a write-off, if German laws are similar to US laws... The 'company' bikes in Germany are truly art. But then again, a LOT of the privately owned bikes have the same attention to detail as the company bikes. Here are a couple of other pics of the bike I took at the 2007 BORG (Buell Owners and Repair Group) Mid Summer Meeting in Germany. I'm not as fond of this headlight configuration:
Frankly I'm so overwhelmed when I see the cool bikes in Germany that I usually don't have the time to get into the details. But here's another 'detail' shot of the bike from 2007.
FWIW, the other black X1 barely visible in the shots above is another FINE machine that was at the rauso.de display at the 2007 BORG MSM.
AFAIK, the wheels on this 2nd bike are PVM. No idea what the wheels are on the first bike. FYI- In case you haven't already seen them. If you want to check out some SWEET German Buell's, I posted trip reports in the Tale Section for the trips I took for the 2007 MSM and 2008 MSM. Just look for the 2 write ups with 'Gute Fahrt' in the title. 1313 |

Another website that is similar to this is http://www.x-race.net, but it is also in German. It can be translated using babelfish.yahoo.com/ They have some pretty neat project bikes on there. |

I want to know about that stabilizer on the 2nd bike. I want one, I don't like mine anymore after seeing that...But I'm still going to bid on the silver one on the bay right now. |

I knew I had seen some 'under construction' pics of the intake on their website previously, but I couldn't find anything when I checked tonight. However, this might help...a little... Okay, it's not much. But it does support the thought that it's a one-off part, 1313 |

I'd say the swingarm coating is a special carbon lookalike like this mob does http://www.mad-coatings.com/?page=gallery&prod=car bonfiber |

I'm wondering if those are Sato rear sets? Wasn't aware they made them for buells? |

Judging by the pegs I'd venture to guess they are RRC? |
