Brankin-that picture above of the 4 wheeler at the Harley dealer. Over the top of it in the back ground is a Buell. Did you happen to get some pictures of it. Looks very modded a far as body work! |

Bummer: This is one of the very early '06 style belts. It has about 23k miles on it. |

U4, Nope! Didn't take any pictures of that Buell...during this trip that is... But here are some I snagged of it when I was in Germany in June. On the trailer to go to the MSM:
And part of Frankfurt Buell's display at the MSM:
There were, however, some cool Lightning's in the Buell dealership this trip.
Not Lightning, per se, but still COOL:

I have a muffler.
I learned a few things. A 7/16 socket is approximately the same size as an 11mm socket. You see it requires a deep socket to get to the bolts on the muffler straps. So I took a bolt (from the last time I changed straps) down to the store and they gave me an 11 mm. I used that to take the straps off. Then, today, as I was putting them back on, I wondered "how did I get them off last time?" Which explains the 7/16 deep socket I located in the bottom of my toolbox. The testride was awesome. |

Jlnance, It WAS cold today. MikeThebike, I took my battery out and down to Battries+, had them charge it Sunday, picked it up today and lo and behold she started right up. No clue why my tender had't charged it well enough. I didn't complain, but jumped on for a trip around west Raleigh. Of course smiling all the while. BTW, I'm drooling over that black and red lightning in the above pics. |

XB9SR, I'm planning to head down to the IMS Spartenburg show on Sunday. I'll most likely leave Winston-Salem around 9:30 that should get us there around 11:30 or so. Sounds like a small show vs ATL in the past. I'm going to bring all 4 bike keys to see if they'll give me four shirts. If they do, there will be some to share. |

Dragonslayer - Were you in Suches, GA for Buelltoberfest? Amanda thinks we followed you up 129. I touched her feet down trying to keep up with you. |

Yup, that was me. Was that y'all on the Ulysses? I was watchin' y'all on 129, thinkin' to myself I'd like to get a Ulysses (in addition to the 12R of course). That way my wife could go tackle some curves with me. I'm told the Ulys are excellent two-up bikes, and the two of you were confirming it for me. |

Yes, that was us. The Uly does well two up, and most passengers love the bike. I tell people not to take their wives on a testride if they don't want to buy one. We did 1000 miles that weekend to give you an idea of the passenger comfort. (Message edited by jlnance on February 18, 2009) |

How about a 2005 Blast, CLEAN, very clean, low miles for 1600? Seriuosly thinking about this one. Could be a great beginner bike for Sabrina also. |

That's a good price. Is it a Riders Edge bike? Even if it is, I still think it's a good deal, but it may have a clutch replacement in it's future. |

Now Jim, you know the clutches on Rider's Edge bikes are never abused. LOL. |

Well, I suspect some riders edge bike are shifted with out the clutch. They probably have pristine clutch plates. |
