Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am wondering what size in millimeters, the length that I should use for a side mounted steering damper and the engine mounted damper. I already have the side mounted brackets I just need to know the length I should use. Any help would be great. Thanks. |

Look at this webpage from American Sportsbike (BadWeb sponsor)http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-catshow/xb9sframe.html . The diameter depends on your model but it's explained in the product info for some of the dampers. I'm considering a "friction" damper made by GPR. I was certain they didn't make one for my Lightning because of the handlebars but i found this one. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/9249.html ... i need some feedback from users of this damper before i fork out the $500 for it! Please help, if anyone has info on the GPR Lightning Damper please let me know!

They're fairly new. We've sold a couple of the Firebolt and Lightning versions. The firebolt ones (and 1125R) work great. There is some issue with the Lightning ones that we've sold that we're working with GPR to resolve. I'm confident we will get it figured out, but I'd hold off buying one for a short while. Al |
