Diablobrian, Not sure if the fender is for the new or old style swingarm. What's the difference? It doesn't mount the same way as the stock rear fender...it kind of covers the front part of the swingarm, has a hole for oil dipstick to poke through, and has another tab with a hole in it that looks like it bolts to something. I'm not sure what brand it is, I got it (like much of this stuff) in a box of parts I received when I bought my bike. $100 including shipping to lower 48 Saddlebags are in good shape. They have the buell logo. I don't think they are made for the XB series though...they just barely fit. Must fit an older tuber. $60 including shipping to lower 48 | ||

The shape of the swingarms is different between the old syle 03-05(?) and the 06+. Is it thin, proper c-f or is it the cosmetic carbon that is heavy and has a very poorly finished under-side? If it is proper carbon fiber I'm still interested. I'll have to pass on the bags though. | ||

Diablobrian, i added 3 extra pictures to the link in my original post showing the backside of the CF rear fender. i'm not sure what your definition of 'proper carbon fiber' is, so hopefully you can answer that for yourself from the pictures. | ||

That is some of the cosmetic carbon fiber that was, and may still be, sold on ebay. It is for the early model XB, s or r model. "proper" carbon fiber is paper thin and does not have the rough texture and black paint on the under side of it. Sorry, but I'll have to bow out. | ||

Mail the header back to me and I can either refund you your money minus what I paid for shipping (I think it was around 10 bucks), or apply the balance toward the muffler which is what you actually wanted apparently. The muffler is worth much more than 40 though, probably 100 or something including shipping considering how big and heavy it is. |
