Removed the rockerboxes today to repair a leaking gasket. Now, standing on the slippery slope I am thinking of having the heads done along with cams... Somebody help me please! BTW - I have done the same type of mods on other bikes and it just made me want to keep doing more mods.. It sure would make life easier to keep it (almost) stock. |

If you want to do it, we cant talk you out of it, once you start its only a slippery slope downwards of doing more mods. |

Dude - yer screwed. I tore into my RS a few years back, to change a broken throttle cable. A very short time passed and I was looking at bare pistons! Sometimes there needs to be a level-headed observer that is trained to physically pull you out of the garage when you've overstepped that "while I'm in there..." boundary! |

I'm probably no help . . . I sent my S2 to Aaron for "freshening up" and it wound up with 111RWHP with the stock muffler. |

Sorry Mike, I'm just getting my "built" X1 back together. I'm staying with the fuel injection. If you make changes and need help tuning, give me a shout and I'll tell you how. Ride safe, Frank. |

Sorry I can not help here either. So most of us will just fall off this precipice. I started tearing into the S1 the other week. -The heads are currently getting worked over -A 1250 kit has been added -cut down cam cover is sitting on the bench -Primary cover is off for a polish job -primary tensioner will get upgraded -ThunderHeart ignition is sitting on the bench -upgraded Brembo rear caliper is on the bench -the carb is in limbo(mikuni or DakotaKid reworked cv) -The PM wheels are sitting on the floor w fresh rubber waiting See, I am of no help here. I have already slipped and sliding down the slippery slope of mods. |

Looks like I did come to the wrong place for help! Thanks for the offer Frank; I didn't know there was anyone here posting from TN. |

Can't help either. Even the furry kids are getting jealous about the amount of time I spend with my Buell |

Loki, the Mikuni is better than the CV, hope that helps a little. |

Stage II lite heads are $750 - dare I say it - from NRHS. You might as well get the 1250 kit too... It's only a few more bolts at that point. |

It is for port, polish, new valves and springs. (Message edited by Blake on February 16, 2009) |
