Well, found out the reason for the clunkiness while shifting. Checked my transmission fluid this evening. It was a lovely shade of grayish milk. Hooray! Somehow water seeped into it. I suspect that it was when I was leaving the bike out during the frozen evenings, froze up, and didn't allow for the water to dissipate. Then again, I could be wrong. Hoses and everything look good. I'll have to keep an eye on it for a while to ensure the fluid stays clean.

It could also be getting in through the clutch cable as well.
If you do a lot of riding in the rain, it can get in through there.

Yes I am loving the weather to. I dont have to cut my heated cloths on and the weather is great. It has sucked for me this weekend cause I had to work both day instead of getting to ride.

Look what I got today! : D

It's an '04 XB12S. Made an even trade with my '06 XB9SX. After totaling up the differences in the engine, modded exhaust, new lower seat, I figured I got the better deal. This thing rides like a dream. Engine power aside, it rides a whole lot better than the XB9SX.

Wow. How did you swing that? I'd say that's a nice trade. You'll have fun when we hit the dragon in April.

Hey Kendall! I will keep the Dragon trip in mind. I am trying to get to March Badness in March, if I don't make it to that, I'll shoot for the dragon meet.
I am also trying to get a track day in May... so that may rule the other two trips out if I can get it.

No worries. The Dragon ride has already been completely put into play.

* Time off from work: approved
* Reservation made at Iron Horse Campgrounds: yup. Lot #5. I even opted for the electricity. : )
* Wife cool with me going: check
* Completely psyched about going: oh yeah! And then some!

LOL! No worries about the homework either. I'll be taking a break from school during this time so I can focus completely on the trip. However, I do plan on taking full advantage of the Internet. If I can, I'm going to be setting up some sort of camera mount on the bike so I can take video of the rides and then post them online. And pics too, of course. : )

Hi Chris,

Yeah, the 1125R's are nice bikes. I always give them a long lingering look when I go to Rocket City Harley. However, I have to admit that I'm a bit more partial to the 1125CR version. Regardless, they're both fantastic looking bikes. And way powerful to boot.

Speaking of Rocket City Harley: I swapped for the XB12S on Thursday. Since the XB9SX still had my bar end mirrors when I left that day, I had to go back the next day with the old mirrors and change them out. By the time I got there at noon on Friday, they already had my old bike on the showroom floor. They waste no time at all. LOL! I almost felt bad seeing the bike there on the floor, ownerless and unridden. That is, until I went outside and hopped on my new bike. : )

Well guys yall wont be seeing me on a 1125 for a while. I got bad news today. The wonderful federal goverment decided they wanted some more money from me when they already get alot. Now I got to pay them 6000 more due to my divorce last year. I guess i will keep riding my XB.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. I'm assuming that you've taken your taxes to a professional prior to the IRS informing you of this? If not, my wife works for Jackson Hewitt, and she has a booth near the service desk at the Wal-Mart on University. If you want or need to, you can take your paperwork to her to verify everything. She can do an initial no-cost tax check at first to see if all is in order. Can't hurt. Maybe she can find a way to help save you money. Dunno.

As for not being able to get the 1125R: bad news indeed. But not horrible, though. At least you still get to keep the XB. : )
