I will be traveling to London and Paris and maybe Normandy in March, would love to get some riding in over there. Any info on rentals or where to go would be great, thanks in advance. I know that March might not be the best time to ride, so other suggestions on "different" things to see are welcome. FYI, I rode my Ully to the Stone Henge replica here in Texas, so seeing the real one on a bike would be cool. Thanks again Ray |

Ray, Go to facebook and join the Buell Riders groups. It seems there's a plethora of Buell enthusiasts in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, and the like. Become "friends" with a hand full of the people in that group and you yill assuredly meet some people who would be willing top help you out as well as ride with. I rented a BMW R850R in Scotland back in October 2005 (talk about a bad time of the year to go there!) from http://preview.hosts.co.uk/~rentamotorcycle.co.uk/ index.html. It was the greatest and craziest adventure of my life from the first mile to the last (especially pulling out of the rental parking lot and trying my hand at riding on the wrong side of the road - I nearly killed myself right then and there without even starting the trip). Try this too... http://www.ukmotoringdirectory.co.uk/motoring.php? id=371 You won't regret it. I'm thinking about Spain or Switzerland/Italy. |

Can't help much with the rental (try Google?)but if you make it down to Stonehenge then let me know and I'll try and meet up with you. It's under an hour from where I live - there's some good tank tracks (similar to your fire roads) across Salisbury Plain I could show you if you want. |
