Can someone tell me what brand of fuel injector is on an '08? I'd look on my bike but I'm waiting for the shippers to arrive tomorrow with it.

The reason I ask is I'm working with AF1 Racing to find a tuning solution. They think they may be able to use a PC3 or PC5 from another V Twin application and mod it for the 11. They done this for Ducs and think it will work here.

Their tuner is one of the best in the business.

Thanks -

Pete

Just get the 2009 Injectors from Buell. Dealers are willing to burn in the '09 flash if you ask nice!

I don't know if they are the same brand, but based on the following, they probably are.

Thanks gentlemen. I found the p/n from the link Clark provided.

Chevy - Have you had a chance to try the new injectors out on the road, if so what did you think?

Here's another noob question. In the Yamaha community many of us order parts from a place like Ron Meyers. Most "mail order" parts places are about 25% to 30% below what the local dealer charges. Is there a similar place for Buell parts.

I'll keep you in the loop with the PC3 project. It will probably be a month or so to make it happen.

Thanks again

Pete

Pete , say hey to Micah for me and tell him the second motor's still going strong. He loves to mess with me about that. Let us know how that programming works out, and if all goes well I'll sign up too.
I was thinking about working with a guy that's been doing a few XB's around Austin, but Micah's THE Rotax tuner around here so you're in excellent hands with him.

Thanks Blazin! Micah rocks.

I was planning to break my bike in today but the delivery truck broke down in SA this morning! UUGGHHH! The turbo died on the trucks engine. They say it will arrive tomorrow. I could just scream. I was planning on Lime Creek, 1431, CR4. Oh well....

I'll keep you in the loop. I'm going to buy XB9's kit, I bought the cable today and downloaded ECMSpy. I figure I'll show up with all of the tools and see what Micah comes up with.

Regardless I love projects like this and it will be fun.

Pete, that's what I get for not leaving my #. Hell I could have picked it up from them this morning for you and you could be ridin' some great back roads to Austin from my house.

BTW where's this bike coming from that they're shipping it to you?

Sweetwater Harley in National City, CA - near San Diego - said they would. It's not fact until it's done (next week). But the tech understood my request and okayed it.

Edit:
I also requested a cluster replacement.

Blazin, Ocala HD in FL. They had a screaming deal at $7995. Bottomline, it was about $10,000 shipped. Neither Central Tx, nor Cowboy would match the deal. Ocala was great and the transaction was smooth as silk, and if tomorrow is as beautiful as today was I'll still get a great ride in.

Pete, I still have not had a chance to run the bike on the road yet. Its cold here again and we expect snow later today. I'll post what I find when I get it on the road.

I feel for you Chevy. Supposed to be 77 and sunny today. Yesterday was a stunning 73 and sun. Spring will arrive up north, eventually.
