I've been told no Inside Pass for 09. I desperately hope I'm misinformed. |

Man, that sucks. This is the one year I think I'd have enough time and opportunity to do one. Figures. |

Not to worry, there are almost limitless trackday options out there. Check out Roadracing World magazine, and in the back they will have a trackday listing. Not all providers are listed, so a little searching should show you all that is out there. |

Yeah, but I wanted to ride a Buell, (and not necessarily my Uly...) That's the thing about the Inside Pass that I didn't know until I talked to some guys at homecoming last year - you don't have to ride your own bike. Maybe I'll take Kevin Schwantz's school - it's only 5 hours away. |

Yeah, I saw that. It's still 5 hours from Tallahassee, so it's all good. Then again, it's also $1500 plus $300 to rent a bike. That's a good chunk of change for a two day school. |

I have also heard the rumblings of NO Inside Pass for 2009... Gainesville H-D/Buell is trying to get something going though... Will know more in a few weeks! |

Laird - would it be up at Jennings or what? And would it be purely BYOB, or would they rent bikes out? I'm just hesitant to track the Uly, seeing as it's my primary (though not only) means of transportation around here. |

Trackdays are not races. There is no reason to expect that you will go down on the track any more so then on the street. Keep your head and learn the track and you will be fine. |

Seanp, I did the Inside Pass as well as another track day on the Uly, you will have no problems. It's like riding on the street but better. No cars, no trucks, no dogs, no cats, no gravel. If you haven't done a track day before, you'll start out in the beginner group. It'll start slow and ramp up as the day goes on. Very confidence inspiring. You'll find the Uly a competent track weapon. I've been able to surprise more than one sportbike including my buddy on his RC51. |

Damn, I was just hoping I was doing the usual 1/2 arsed search for info. My friends do lots of track days (12-15/yr) They like the Buell day because of its price, the fact that they feed you and they give you drinks and snacks through out. Much easier than carting all that stuff yourself. I like them because i get to ride something other than my ancient 2001 X1 It's a lot more fun when you have the power of the 1125CR or R going down the back straight of Mid Ohio (Message edited by mbsween on February 09, 2009) |

Sean, It might be at Jennings... That's all I can say for now. You should NOT have a problem on your Uly. You will start in the beginner class and go YOUR pace. FYI, New12R was ripping pretty good on his Uly at Jennings! |

Well, I do have the KLX to fall back on if something goes wrong with the Uly. We'll see... |

This is the worst news I've heard in a long time! I absolutely loved my times at the inside pass days! Didn't they sell out at most of these events? |

That's just not right, I bought a vanson one piece suit and planned on having my girlfriend do the event with me..and she's looking to get another bike, a perfect opportunity for buell to gain another customer-gone. |

I don't know about the attendance for the east and northern events. Keith (Skully) told me that he didn't think the Eagles Canyon, Texas was sold out. Vegas was very lightly attended, none of the classes were at capacity. This seemed very strange to me, as it was at the same time as Fem Moto in Vegas, not to mention the American Sport Bike BBQ was held there then. I'm pretty sure Willow Springs was sold out, but wasn't right up the very last minute. Infineon was sold out WAY early, and was heavily attended by a lot of AFM riders. There was easily three times as many pure race/track bikes at that event as there was at Willow. I wish they had Inside Pass track days this year, but I can certainly understand why they likely won't. It has to be very expensive to put on, and ultimately, it has to lead to selling bikes to yield a return on the investment. I think with the intro of the 1125 series, it was a good thing, but I don't think the impact would be there this year. The state of the economy certainly doesn't help. The entire motorcycle industry is REALLY down right now. I'm sure the budgets just aren't there for this kind of thing at this time. It's a bummer, a bunch of us SCAB folks went and were looking forward to going again. We'll just sign up as a group at of the other local track days, I guess. Al |

Mid Ohio was packed.... the real problem I see with the Inside Pass event is.... US! Buell owners suck up all the spots and the people that should be there get left out, that would be anybody that doesn't drink the Buellaid.... they got us... But it sure is fun!!! |

Eagles Canyon in North Texas was poorly attended. However, the Motorsport Ranch venue in 2007 was very well attended. Many I-4s were there. I too will be disappointed if they don't schedule Inside Pass this year. |

The couple times they went to Miller were some of the most fun I've had. I really hope they will continue. |

Any more news on this? Buell.com owners area says that new dates have been added, but I can't get my login figured out, and the link to have it send you an email and password reset doesn't seem to be working. I read that Buell will be at Infineon in May for the AMA Superbike racing and is having test rides. Any chance they are holding an Inside Pass day after or before the racing? |
