Does anybody know where I can get the paint or paint codes for the paint used on the engine... thanks Pete |

I THINK it's powdercoat because of how durable it is, but I've heard from a couple shops that powdercoat doesn't work on an engine due to heat.. I chose to ignore the issue and go with the polished look. |

I have had good luck with Hi temp paint several types avaliable also BBQ paint but i consider my bike a rat |

powder coat is powder plastic thats cured in an oven at 350f degrees, air cooled engines get hotter than that at the surface IIRC, so it would burn and flake off. High temp paint should work. |

It's around this forum somewhere, but I also got a can of it somewhere in the garage, just have to find it. It's like "engine silver", I thinks it's in the H-D accessory catalog. |
