Al is not only one of the nicest guys in the business, but also one of the smartest. He is a genuine professional engineer and thinks like one. A clever one. He normally spells his last name Lighton. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on February 06, 2009) |

Yep, Al's a great guy. Every single time I've had contact with him, it's been first-rate. |

Yeah up. Great fella. No one will tell ya different either. Putting a face wih a name was awesome at the 25th too! I don't see him posting much around here anymore though like he used. Must mean business is getting busy! So that's good! |

Thanks guys! I don't get a whole lot of badweb time these days. Used to be I got a half-hour in the morning before heading to work, and occasional checks at work. But we got this new puppy, and its amazing what time-sucks they can be. She's a needy little critter, and if you don't keep your eye on her, in a heartbeat, she'll have something in her mouth that's not supposed to be there. I'll get some time back as she matures a little. Certainly not because of busy business. The entire motorcycle biz is VERY slow right now, and American Sport Bike is no exception. January/February is always a slow time of year, what with all the bikes stowed away in the great white north. Other work related projects are keeping me busy, though. Al |

I have only spoke with Al one time and that was on the phone. He took all the time I needed to answer my questions and he did so truthfully and accurately. I learned from this man in just 5 minutes. |

Al, what kind of puppy did you get? As a person that has always had a dog (Labs) I can tell you that it's the first 4 or 5 years that are the hardest... |

Don, See the thread here (with pictures): http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/430631.html?1233184282 She's part lab, shepherd, collie. Smart as heck, she's already sitting, laying down, staying, and rolling over on command (as long as there's treats) at a mere 15 weeks old, which is pretty darned good. But still a stupid puppy with regard to putting EVERYTHING in her mouth and shredding it in no time flat. She hasn't eaten any carbon fiber parts, YET. Yesterday we found her chewing on a razor blade.... Al |
