Nice picture Matty. Earlier this summer an R6 pilot in front of me started throwing sparks from a Ti knee puck. Startled me for a moment, I thought he was going down and the sparks were from his bike. He was in the way. Was riding my touring S3T. These are neat bikes... |

XB9S "Silver Lightning" at Downtown Harley in Seattle. Looks nice, but I think I like the yellow.

Most interesting are the "Buell" stickers on the "tank" of the Silver bike. Anyone recognize those? I do |

Hey, those stickers look like the peel and paste stick-ons from the "tubers"...what's up with that? Was this bike repainted by the shop? |

>>>>Hey, those stickers look like the peel and paste stick-ons from the "tubers"... More specifically, the Buell MOTOR Company, not the Buell Motorcycle Company, tubers. Very cool.....I've saved boxes of examples from over the years and even ended up with a case of the "splash graphics" stickers. None were cooler than the "old" Buell stickers... Court |

Those look from an S2T? Someone told me that the S2's fairing Buell logo was normal text and the slanted (leaning) logo was the S2Ts. Truth? DAve |

Some S2T's came with the upright fairing logo, some with the leaning logo. I've seen original examples of each. |

Originally......(and it depended on which stickers the boy's had in the converted gym locker at the moment) the slanted letters were on the front fairing of the S-2. That's as it was supposed to be. The lettering above, glancing at the "Buell Graphic Display Handbook" appears to be very similar to "old" Buell lettering. Aaron's seen a ton of S2's and S2-T's and I'm betting he's right that there were examples of both and, perhaps a couple others. I've saved a showbox of Buell die cuts from the last 12 years, I'll dig around and see if I can find that configuration. The color combination looks very nice. I keep thinking I'd like to see a "John Mikosh / Janice" Gray smoked over Gray/Black or something. I'd bet the XB's turn into a host of rolling art gallerys over the next year. Court |

Are you guys sure those are "old" graphics? There are several sets of Blast graphics available now and I have seen one with the slanted BUELL logo. In fact Cil has some on her Blast now. |

Dan: I am not sure. I am going to dig out some OLD sets and see what I can figure out. I've got a shoebox full of Buell die-cuts going back many years, but Aaron likely has the largest "bike mounted" collection. I do like the looks of them on that paint. Court |

Okay, so now that I know how to do this.... Here's a shot from last summer's 2nd annual Ontario Airhead's Pennsylvania Backroads Blam. If it's not Buelly enough for ya, then join us this year and make it Buellier.... ~ : ^ ) Lornce |
