Guys/Gals, I bought a new 2009 1125CR mid October last year. One week after I had it (with only 50 miles on the odometer), I was driving home in my truck one night and had a wreck with a deer that caused serious injury to my right elbow. I have been in physical rehab since, and my elbow won't allow me long rides right now. I can only go out for a mile or two. Still hurts too much to steer those handlebars (even the upright ones). So I've had my CR now for four months with 300 miles clocked on it, only a few at a time withstanding as much pain as possible during each ride. I need some stories of great adventures and conquests on your bikes to cheer me up. My doctor says I probably will be healed by May/June, but he's not sure. If not healed then with PT, he wants to do micro-orthoscopic on my elbow. And that means 18 months of rehab with probably no ride time. Give me a reason to look forward to the ride again. Regards, Sleeper_777 |

Wow that suck's , well I can't offer any stories yet as it's a bit to cold here in the northeast . You should go on tale section (located in the buell forum section )and read some of the adventures of the buell riders here . Great stories and lots of pic's . I got my CR on Oct 11. I put the 620 break in miles on it in three days, and covered four states in that time. When it was a week old, I rung it's neck on the track (see my profile pic). I did some more riding around the area and put it away for the hibernation at the end of Nov. I think there's 1300 or so on her. Next big adventure will be a marathon ride down to the Outer Banks for a short vacation over Memorial Day. Hope I could help. Heal up fast. |

Loretta's a little over a year old now. She was delivered December 18th 2007, the first 1125R on the road in Colorado.
Late March of 08, I rode her from just North of Denver to Victoria, Texas to visit family.
Then the first week of July, I rode to Homecoming and had the most fun week of my life.
Commuting and joyrides, she is up to 15.2k on the Odo.
Headed for the low 30s today, but no snow. Time to get ready to ride to work at High Country HD/B. Heal fast and get back on 2 wheels ASAP !! Zack |

At the end of the summer I decided to ride my back back to school (South Dakota to D.C) and I wanted to see how quickly I could it. I would have loved a drawn-out trip, but I didn't have the money for food/places to stay. So, I did the 1,500 mile trek in 3 days. About 700 miles the first day, 500 the second, and 300 the third. Yes, there's a reason the miles went down significantly each day Even though I'm young (25) and have the Firebolt custom seat, my butt suffered more than a brand-new inmate at shower time (Message edited by eagle1 on January 29, 2009) |

This March or April I'm spending a week in the Texas Hill Country, staying in Leaky, with hope at a place called D'Rose. (Google it! It's a motorcycle specific lodge!) GOing to spend a week on what are generally considered the best roads in Texas! Man, I can't wait! R |

Hill Country in March = NICE riding. Friend & I are planning a weekend blast down there again this year. I'll keep my eyes open for a red CR, but you might miss my black R (black is faster, remember?). |

Put over 1000 miles on 'er in a week. Went from Charleston to Deals Gap and back. Also rode the gap and some of the loops. Was definitely a fun trip and I hope to return to it again some time soon. The road was fun, the scenery was spectacular. Twisty roads that follow right along side fast flowing rivers were awesome. It was also fun to really throttle the hell out of her. She stuck the corners well and would flick where ever I wanted her. The engine was a gem. Had a few shorter trips, but nothing like that one to the gap. Hopefully I can start planning a few more around work. PICS! Get well soon. ST |

Rob, you're gonna love Leakey. D'Rose is a nice place to stay and if you find out she's booked, Butch's place,Camp Live Oak is just down the road and on the Frio river. Prices are comparable, cabins at both places have all the amenities and air conditioning. The Austin goes out for a three day shindig at least once a year. The roads are awesome and very little showing from THE LAW if you see any. |

Here is a good story for ya. I was racing around on my 1125r last year. I was the first person to privately own an 1125r by the way. Got it december 4th 2008. And in Nebraska it was a cold ride. back to my Story. Some arse clown was tailgating me while we were on a back highway about 3 feet from my tail. It was on highway 75 heading north of Omaha. He was trying to pass me but there was too much on comming trafic. I was doing 75 and the speed limit was 60. So this Rtard decides to pass me on the right side in the shoulder. Now being out in the country the shoulder is filled with gravel and big rocks. I can hear his tiny honda engine winding up and he enters the gravel to pass. I look over to my right and he is completely sideways in a brand new ricer.Missing me by mere inches. I dont know my honda cars but it was new and it had intransits. He lost controll and slid into a field and his right front tire folded under his car. It was ruined. So being the nice guy that i am i stopped to see what was going on. He waved to me and asked if i had a cell phone so i responded by flipping him off and riding away. The reason i rode off was because he was like 16 years old and i would have gotten in trouble for beating the heck out of him. But if he was older... |
