It's the price you're willing to pay, taking into consideration it's a great bike, and what kind of post-sale service you're going to get from the dealer you purchase from. |

The cheapest one! Then, no bitching about the fact that your dealer may not have decent service, or "get" Buell. Remember - there are three factors at play: Cost Value Price They're close...but all mean slightly different things. |

a) walk in b) tell him 9 or 10 with extended warranty c) leave happy with (i) a bike (ii) trying to negotiate and having him REALLLLLY wanting to sell you that bike the next time you walk in. Call 2 days later and ask him if he can work that deal yet or not. |

I am willing to pay a slightly higher price, knowing I have great after-the-sale support. BadWeb sponsor Gainesville H-D/Buell is one of the Dealers that has just such after-the-sale support!! |

My $0.02. If you don't want to support 1 of your local dealers, then consider 1 of the sponsors here. But if you don't buy it from the dealer you plan to use 4 service/warranty work, don't be surprised if they're not necessarily 'overjoyed' & 'enthusiastic' when you need work done. The price you pay in the end isn't just the price of the bike, as Ratbuell already pointed out. |

Value is worth a few extra bucks... what is your threshold of pain. Is your local worth this little bit extra? What else is in your region so the travel costs (this time and next time for service) will not be intolerable? If you are anywhere near TN, I'll put in a good word for you. T |

If you're looking for an '08 give Troy a call at Silver Eagle HD/Buell in Waterloo, IA. He has a couple he'd like to see go to good homes. I can vouch for this dealership as being extremely Buell friendly, sales and service. 319-235-6505 |

I got my 09 for $11803 out the door in CA. Before taxes and DMV fees, that would be $10,850. Not too bad considering they had to trade one of their bikes with another dealer to get my bike. |

NewRoc Harley/Buell in New Rochelle, NY has two 2008 1125R's available for $9,995 each. Jack (the owner) tells me this is BELOW dealer cost. He also has a wrecked one (cosmetics mostly) that he'll sell for $5,000. He suggested it would be a good buy for a racer who wanted spare parts. It could be put on the road again, but it would probably end up costing you just as much as it would to buy a new bike. |

a demo with 4,800 miles. that's more than most owners have racked up. Guess they has LOTS of demo rides. That bike is used and should be priced accordingly--looks like it is. |

I just bought one of the $7995ers from Ocala. My local HD/B shops wouldn't touch the deal. Pretty much OTD and shipped to Austin for $9999. |

Wow. I'll say it again. If you are on the fence about the 112r, you have to be a fool not to buy one at the discounted prices. I paid full MSRP for mine (plus every dealer fee imaginable) and I would do it again tomorrow. |

I agree Fresno. I wanted one of these since about August of '07. I was in Iraq at the time and ordered one through the Overseas Vehicle purchase program. A promise date of Dec '07 became June '08 for a variety of reasons so I canceled the order and bought an FZ6 instead, great bike BTW. I saw the $7995 price, pulled 12 mods off the Fizzer, have half sold, and hung the for sale sign on her. I called Ocala, they were totally cool, put $3,500 down. Should be here in a week or so. My FZ buds think I'm nuts but I fell in love with the 1125r the day I saw it back in '07. Ocala has ONE left. Five days ago they had 7. Cheers, Pete |
