Aye that jesternut. Greenlantern, "being in God's hands" doesn't negate man's efforts and responsibilities. When you see the hungry, feed them. When you see those without clothing, give them yours. It was never, see the hungry, create a blue ribbon commission to discuss options on how to reallocate income from the highest bracket citizens to the lowest bracket citizens in order to fulfill their needs. Government is the surest path from responsibility, gratitude and obligation to entitlement. |

Hearts and minds of the enemy... 2 in the chest, one in the head. I believe in rehabilitation of terrorists as much as I do of pedophiles. Theres a special place in hell for each of them, express seating, boarding immediately. |

What I want to know is how I get to be the voice of moderate sanity on this board? It's not right! I want to be the one calling for the extermination of all who are not like ME! Here, I'll push the magic button that sends everyone who doen't agree with everything I say to an alternate dimension so just us wise ones can inherit the Earth. PUSH! |

"The number one reason from the dawn of time to this day that has been used to kill is in the name of God." That is one of the most popular bits of pure baloney to ever be propagated. It is utterly false. Admittedly, the islamists are doing a fair job of trying to make it come true. |

I remember something Sarah Palin said back in the day during the campaign: "We always pray that God is on our side in a conflict. It is more important to ask ourselves, are we on God's side?" Wise woman she is. |

" Thou Shalt NOT Kill" One of the Commandments, along with a lot of the others that does not seem to mean much these days. Threat minimisation is a much better option for those who offend the core rules of society. The MAX security prisons that are in your country although very effective at containment seem not to be discouraging the anti social beings. Perhaps if we concentrated on the Ten Commandments and applied them to our daily lives the way in which we keep some of our population from offending/considering offending would be more effective. Banishment to another place has long been the best way to deal with these issues for as long as time has been recorded. An island, the bare essentials for life, no guards, no rules as the persons who are put there seem not to want to obey the ones they have and the absolute certainty of no return. May well discourage most, will not discourage all, but will certainly alleviate the civilised issue of killing and also of the persons being amongst us. |

Or use my idea. We have 6.2 million imprisioned inmates... Drop them in Iraq on furlough. Takes care of our over populated prisons and I think more than a fair share of terrorist insurgents too. The reuse the left facilities for housing for the 'homeless' and maybe a couple of dorms for universities too. |

Bombardier, You are misquoting scripture. It's "thou shalt not commit murder" Murder is different and distinct from war. If you are not willing to defend yourself from those willing to harm you, you are at the mercy of those willing to disobey scripture to harm you. Don't pull it out if you aren't going to use it correctly. |

No! don't send our prisoners to Iraq! Send them to Iran. Be logical about that. No pot smokers who were busted for possession, they won't be violent or destructive enough to Iranian society. Follow the lead of Castro & release the psycho killer types. ( see "Scarface" ) Don't forget to chip them to be able to pick them out at ports of entry. If they return before their time, they go to Sudan. Tell the Iranians they are "human shield" liberal idiots who are afraid we are going to bomb Iran. ( and pay a few to call us up if they are posted by a secret nuclear facility ) As far as the 10 commandments go, I refer you to the late George Carlin's riff on them. He's funnier than I & I should note it's not very kind to the 10. Food for thought, and not for the close minded. |

You see - we can all come up with ridiculous methods, however, with out interrogating each individual and creating a police state how do we solve this violent riddle? That they will just continue to do what they do is to be believed - kill them all as war criminals - I figure there has to be at least a few good Palestinians or there would be no cry to save them, only more cries to destroy them - as for the straight terrorists - they should be eradicated without any judicial effort for salvation - their crime - their death sentence. Every Koran thumping country out there should be behind that, because they could easily be next. Their refineries blown up, their schools attacked, their homes and streets bombed. Who says they are going to stop their tactics if they achieve their first goals - why should they, they are winning! Get rid if the Jewish nation and the Americans there leaves only their Arab brothers to prey on - and the reasons why will be more quotes from the Koran - justifying nothing except the killing of their own neighbors. They need to just be eradicated - period. Would you let a deadly viper sleep by your child? Why let these Vipers rest in our midst? EZ (Message edited by ezblast on February 02, 2009) |
