Bought 'Working on a Dream' today. After first listen: No a consistently good as some other albums but it has some real killers. There's an 8 minute outlaw caterwaul to open, but then he's tended to let the band take prominence in the production and there is some great E-street rock. But right now It's Foo fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Rock. Ing. |

Just been announced that he's headlining at the "Vieille Charrues" music festival here, it's not far from where I live & I'd love to go see him live. Trouble is I can't stand being amongst that many, drunk/stoned/retarded/stinking festival goers just to see a blob in the distance that I can't even hear properly. Reckon I'll stay home & listen to the cd with a few roll-ups & a large scotch or two. |

I saw him in Auckland last year. Only act. They were mostly my age and all cool. Ditto on the mass stupidity. |

There's nothing better than seeing an artist you like LIVE. The crowd is an added bonus IMO. Be social |

NPR's interview with him is on as I type this. The Boss has always been political, one way or another. Doesn't diminish his work one bit. Don't be a hater- open up yer ears and enjoy. |

I think the "boss" should change that nickname especially with out new administration. To me it signifies you are better than everyone and everyone is beneath you. Some could think of slavery as well. Its just not politically correct. |

No accounting for taste heh. He still likes AC/DC. Yeah, but AC/DC can sell out an arena in 2 hours. "the boss" has to spout liberal crap just so he can make money doing inaugurations and stuff. I didn't like him when he was new. I definitely don't like him now. I also can't stand James Taylor. |

I'm not a particular fan of Bruce's and I don't care for his politics (especially mixing it with music) but I did think they put on an awesome halftime show last night. At least they were actually playing and singing rather than lip-syncing like some of the previous acts. For that matter I can't remember a single half-time show in recent history other than this one that wasn't warped on some level (Britney Spears and Aerosmith?). |

Anybody that can half-ass play a Tele that looks as cool as his can't be all that bad. Still hate his politics, but the show at least rocked. He lost me when Born in The USA came out and all the kids and chicks thought he was new big thing. |
