Strada: Sorry to threadjump, but that looks like good gear you're sporting in your pic there. Who makes the jackets/pants? Thx. |

Hi, they are Frank Thomas 'Raptor Sport'. Got them a couple of months ago for my birthday. So far, I'm very impressed and cost about £250 the set I think. |

Frank Thomas? Cool--they sell it at the local Cycle Gear outlet. Thanks for the info! |

I saw one of these at the Barber Museum. They are supposed to handle VERY well. I'm not a foot forward person either, but I'd give one of these a shot.

Oh yeah, the Gurney Gator! It made a big splash when Dan Gurney unveiled it a few years ago. All who've ridden it say it handles like a dream and is a ton of fun to ride. I'd love to see one in person. |

That doesn't look good for the lower back. Is it like that new Honda with the automatic transmission? |

Oh no, far from it. The original batch of limited-edition gators were 650 singles bored out to 710cc, estimated to put out around 75hp. A second really-limited-edition was made with big S&S motors (1800cc), power output unknown, but let's figure hefty. Super low CG. Loads of torque. And it came with a comfy backrest to brace yourself against as the bike pulled away from the line. |

The only thing that concerns me is the huge wheelbase. Seems like the thing would tie itself in knots in the twisties. |

He certainly looks more comfy! That would be a great bike for an endurance race |

I just received the cruiser peg kit from STRADA and it was very easy to install. Total installation was about 15 minutes. The pegs look better in person than in pics thats for sure. I'll let you guys know more after I get a long ride in! Thanks Strada! |
