Wondering if there is much real world benefit to switching from the stock forks on a '00 M2 to a set from a '99 S1?? Also what other hardware is required to make the switch? Can the triple trees be bored out or should S1 or X1 trees be used? This is a street bike and not a race application.

Thanks.

you would be best served to get a set with the trees. makes it all go together nicely.

it makes an improvement if you ride hard enough, and if you ride even half speed, it should be noticeable.

I thought the X1 forks were the best of the inverted forks.

"Some" of the X1s had WP forks, but they weren't as adjustible as the S2 WP ROMA forks. The S2 forks are 2" longer than the other models, as the S2 top triple has no clamps for bars or guages as it uses clipons.

the ROMAs were beloved by the racers, back in the day, on X1s even!
