After buying my 1125r from AD Farrow and driving 10 hours home to NY I found out the rear turn signals dont work. I called them and they said to contact my local dealer as they would need to disassemble the bike for the warranty work. I called my local dealer to which they said I would need to buy a new set and have them install them. The service guy said he had never heard of them failing before and that since there isnt a recall on them, there was nothing he could do. He suggested calling Buell and asking about sending me a new set. I hate my local dealer, they are morons. Any ideas? Im not fond of the idea of keeping replacing them with stock which will burn out soon after. Id rather go with aftermarket and know that they will work. Im waiting on a response from XBlights about redoing them with more LED's. Sorry for the rant, I just remembered why I hate dealers. |

Well documented warranty item. any dealer should be able to help you. No disassembly req'd. One screw per signal. New stock signals seems to be fine. |

upon reflection as to being a warranty issue..... only if it still on the bike, unmodified and the bike is brought to the dealer to have it checked out this is just my opinion and does not necessarily reflect actual BMC policy |

You seem pretty proud of yourself! I'm guessing you helped the guy out. so kudos. My question: why isn't there a better process other than going through Court to get things done? How come '09 maps/injectors aren't part of a Buell package upgrade? Where is the race kit? Why do the rear signals fail? Why on earth would I leave my bike at a shop for days for something I WOULD PAY to do myself (oil stick, turnsignals, etc). Why does the factory only communicate through you? Yes, I've called them to no avail. WHAT IS YOUR SECRET, COURT? |

For those who 'wonder'... The preferred method to resolve issues with your bike is: >Bring up the issue with your Dealer's service department. >If not resolved, engage the Dealer management. >If not resolved, contact BCS. That info is in the owner's manual btw, including BCS' phone #. On those occasions when the normal process doesn't seem to work, a plea for help here on BWB can sometimes get Court engaged. For those who don't know who Court is, he's a construction worker in NY. He has contacts within Buell due to his past work with the man & the company. As such, he can sometimes 'short circuit' the process to get immediate results. The common thing to make that happen is a dose of good manners. Translation = he's a guy that knows people, and as such, we should all look upon anything he does as a favor, not as a requirement for membership to this community, IMO. |

Maybe there is a brief clip of Court dangling by his feet from a power line "Kids, this is why you don't fly a kite near power lines" |
