Hey Guys - My front caliper pad retaining pin ('00 M2) is frozen. I have almost stripped the head (flat blade screwdriver) trying to get it out. I don't want to risk damaging the caliper by drilling it out. Does anyone have any hints or tricks for getting this out? Thanks in advance -- |

That's what I thought. Tried WD-40, don't have an impact wrench. The hardest part is getting leverage on the front wheel, which wants to twist and flop around. Thanks |

For the future, I had one of these made for me: http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=196307 Before, I had the same problem you are having. This will not only give you a more secure pin installation with safety wire, but also give you an 8mm nut to use to remove the pin easily. Since I sent mine in a couple of months ago, he now has specs for tube framed Nissin calipers and you shouldn't need to send your stock ones to him. Well worth the money.
