You'll need to download a copy of ECMSpy and to make a cable (or buy one). This thread my help: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/3 33704.html?1201905380 |

You can also try this.. http://www.ecmspy.com/ In order to connect to the PC/Laptop you need a special cable. There is info on the ECM SPY web site for that.. there are also a few folks here who make them at cost. To get software to talk to the ECM on the cable you need to install FTDI drivers that basically make a USB port act like a serial port...pretty sure there is some info on the ECM site for that as well. You can download those from their web site http://www.ftdichip.com/ IIRC.. you had to follow the install procedure pretty closely or things didn't work right.. and that was for XP.. can't imagine Vista would be any better .. if they have drivers for vista. It works better in Vista than XP. You just need to run the program as Administrator. |

My ECMSpy keeps crashing on my laptop (Vista) when hooked up to my bike. Very frustrating. This happening to anyone else? |
