we have offered the wireless to American Sport Bike. hopefully they start carrying them for you all. We are waiting on a response from them. as well as the major uk site. its a bluetooth. so you need bluetooth accepted laptops. if its not just get a 20.00 adapter and your set. the chip is carrying a embedded program on it. to keep it awake and running for the ecmspy to see it at all times. it was a very serious challenge to get it to work. we actually hooked it up at one house. wireless to the laptop. then he went wireless to the internet through his cell phone. I then was wireless here. i logged into his laptop and redid his bike there. all he did was run switch on and off. then twist the throttle for me. a total virtual new way of tuning. this was on a 2008 bike. hopefully American Sport Bike">Al@American Sport Bike will contact for you guys. these are the next new hot item. more to come now that we are onto a new age tech. a gps, laptimer, alarm. engine disable, and ect. this will have a 2 to 4 mile range and use the direct IP addresses to log into it with a password you set at the beginning. these will be offered to American Sport Bike and Trojan Horse also for the racer. these will be set to run with the buell race tuner and ecmspy. mike |

So does this mean I could run the program from my desktop pc in the living room and the bike in the garage would be hooked up?!! If so, this is HUGE!! If so, I will need more info so I can buy. |

There is a "cool" factor here too. I can't wait till my riding buds see me programming my ecm from the living room. "You can't do this with your Vstrom Troy..." |

actually, if he has a laptop program it will. we just have to set it to read the program which is easy and you connect the wires to rx/tx/ground and 12V+ it doesnt care what program its seeing. its a data line connection with a chip set to handle the data. we can expand. so these units will do more than one type bike that uses a comport/usb link. mike |

$150 is a little rich for the casual ECMSpy-er like myself, but it's still freakin cool. How cool would it be to have this gizmo and have it connect to a PDA in your pocket? ~SM |

"Now I just have to wait for jailbreak for my ipod touch v2 and hope that someone writes an app for it How cool would that be?" My thoughts exactly. That would be cool if it worked on the iphone. It's still cool even if it doesn't though. |

Hey guys. I'm doing the development work on those wireless ECMSpy cables. So far we've got 2 confirmed orders paid for, we'd like at least 5 to order the parts and get the ball rolling. This unit is about the size of a pack of gum. It plugs into your ECM plug and draws power from there. It takes 5 seconds to install, and then you forget about it. All you need to do for tuning your bike is pull into the garage or pit area, then click "Connect" on a BlueTooth enabled computer. For data-logging, just connect your laptop via BlueTooth, then stick it in your backpack and start riding. I actually use my cell phone as a modem, which most Sprint plans let you do for free. I had my laptop connected to the bike via BlueTooth, then my laptop connected to the internet via my phone. This makes it completely mobile, and Mike (xopti) can tune it while I'm riding. The WiFi version will have a longer range, and will incorporate all of the latest security encryption features, such as WEP, SSL, etc... It will be almost impossible to hack into your bike without your bike's IP address and password. -Tim |

Wait a minute. Has it really come to the point where we need to be worried about somebody hacking into our motorcycles computer? This just might be the bus stop I need to get off at. |

that would only be on a race bike with many mant hours of tuning and ect. you wouldnt want the other teams to get your work and have a bast to start from when you have spent years working it out then they get as good of data from a push of a button and fit it to there bike. this would only be a issue on high profile race bikes. not grass roots or street bikes. also guys i'm in contact with asb for you all here. we have to get the pics out to him and more details. it will not be long and he will have them in stock. keep looking at asb for these. they are the dealer supported as sponsor on badweb. mike mike |
