Ain't fun great? I am tinkering about, just finished a story and getting ready to take the dog to the vet. I wish one of you Wisconites would come take back this cold weather.....it's dipping into the 40's here today. You mess up my date with Carly Simon and Sheryl Crow and you'll pay bigtime! Court |

Here in Franklin/Milwaukee we only got a sprinkling on the grass, roads clear as a bell !! Amazing what a difference only 30-40 miles make ! However, bike is now winterized and riding is over for me until next spring. CJM |

New York City....lots of shipping traffic on the water....hovering around 50o, the tree's going up in Rockefeller Plaza, balloons being moved to CPW for the Macy's Parade and sunny as can be......(ok, we've got a little haze..at least it's not measured in inches!)

Most the leaves are in the driveway and I've developed a 7 "contractor bag" a day habit..... Actually, I've learned to feign raking, bag the bulk of the crop and then use my super-duper high output turbo leaf blower to evict them from the property.....I have two things in my favor....I am a geek-aholic for power tools AND the house is perched atop the highest point in the 5 boroughs..once I get them babies headed out of the drive....nothing stops them until they hit the water. By the way, the same is true (I discovered well after dark, last night) of a jar of Planter's Mixed Nuts. It was a sight...the aging biker geek in a suit slipping an slidin' down the hill....hey, A Rawlings basketball I'll let go...a perfectly good $4.39 can of nuts....PRICELSSS. Two miles to water and I can coast a bike to the shoreline. Great place for starting bikes with lame batteries....very sucky place to be when you try and they don't start. Oppps...that's another long and very ugly story. If you get to Bonneville, do NOT let me forget to tell you the conditions under which Friday's epic was composed. Court |

Mennis... Hate to rub it in, but I did a 3 hour run yesterday in Lake Country and am planning a few more before the white stuff hits the area. Had snow in the air but none on the ground. LMFAO (Note: The "F" stands for freezing.) |

That photo is making me sweat, dude ... grew up skiing at Alta (finest powder in the World, and the Europeans agree), need to find a rich bachelor to take me out there again, or get my MS and more money. |

Bomber... After living in South Orange County, CA for 30 years, I feel more than qualified to answer your questions about relocation. You know, if we do this right we can share a moving van. I won't need much space. After I sell out here, all I will be moving is my bike, clothing and a few tools. You want I should help sell the Brooke and your daughter on the idea? If I do, best be prepared to move ASAP !!! |

Hey all....I case you missed it on the General Discussion Board. This is a copy of the press release regarding the newest award given to BMC:Milwaukee, WI (Nov. 25, 2002) - The Buell Lightning XB9S has been selected as a recipient of the 2002 Good Design Award presented annually by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. The award acknowledges the best and finest new design innovation for products and graphics. Two distinguished juries comprised of authorities in the design world based their decisions on aesthetic criteria measures such as: innovation, form, materials, concept, and function to select award winners. "I was pleased to see that the Museum of Architecture and Design recognized Buell’s ability to merge stunning good looks with technical innovation,” said Mike Samarzja, Manager of Industrial Design for Buell Motorcycle Company. “The Lightning XB9S combines sensuousness and raw brutality in its visual appeal." The Buell Lightning XB9S will be on display for the Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design Show Exhibition in Chicago, Ill., from April 1 to May 17, 2003. The list of award winners will be posted on The Chicago Athenaeum web site: www.chi-athenaeum.org on January 1, 2003. Now to the real reason for posting this here....Roger (aka Grndskpr or Lawn Boy ) had the idea of a group ride to the museum. In looking at the spring schedules, I thought maybe Sunday, May 11th. That is the weekend after the Slimey Crud Run. I didn't see any conflict with other club rides on that date. All interested say aye. |
