Bob, I don't think what bike you decide to ride makes a whole lot of a difference!! Seems that everytime I have ridden with you, you were on the beemer anyway! Frank, you wrote "Being a 6'1" fat guy," don't forget "ugly" Just kidding! Heather made me type it! she says she owed you one! Keith |

An idea or two. Bob, I think that maybe you should keep pumpkin around for awhile. You cant get much for it on the market. It only has 20k on the odometer. When you have that new Hondayamymw in for service, you can ride the pumpkin. Besides, that gray/orange aerostitch will not match anything else! Poor John having to put another 50k on the beast. |

OOOOHHH BOb..... For the cost of 1 BMW, you can get these 2 v-twin powered bikes with bags etc. This way you could sell your Buell and still have an extra bike when needed. Bikes are like women. You love the one your on, but as soon as another goes by, you want to ride that one too.

DAve...I've just got one thing to say... PAINT IT!!! Hmmmm...Maybe I'm not one to talk regarding color... I know it wheelies...I've seen it...Matter of fact you had better run out into the garage right now and overhaul those head bearings...Does that have the 955i engine?... Congrads on the new baby...I'm sitting here doing a spreadsheet comparo of the R1150RT, ST1300 and FJR1300...MCN (the Brit rag) did a comparo and rated them ST (1st), RRT (2nd) and FJR (3rd)...I can't find a performance review on the RT...Biggest knock against the FJR is the fuel tank size and 37 mpg fuel usage...Knocks the range to about 200 miles or less...Guess you pays the price for all that performance... See Ya! Bob |

Yeah it's Ugly and it has a 955i though it's not the same as the Triple, Sprint, or Daytona. (only 104hp/67ftlbs) Color wasn't an option but...I actually like it. (I didn't get the optional volume control.) Maybe it emanates some brain altering light waves or perhaps it's like a car wreck...ya can't help to be drawn to looking. Honestly I didn't plan on buying it but I could not say 'no' to this. Donnelson had their '02 ST4s marked down and a new 999 Bob.... DAve |

DAve...The "paint it" smartass remark wasn't original...I was reading a review of the "adventure" bikes and they loved the Tigger except for THAT color...Tigger's are orange...I think the closing line was "please buy the bike, please don't get the chartreuse"...hehehe...Brian has asked be several times to ride it and I declined as the color clashed so badly with both my 'stiches...No, really, until I rode the Vstrom, I really did not appreciate what those types could do...Wait until you get it on a twistie and are able to use those great wide bars to lever the bike over...So, now you're a SUV motorcyclist and, by the way, you now have your AK scoot...Are bears color blind?...I hope not... |
