The 5/16" bolts stripped the threads out of the aluminum as the bike fell to the concrete. It appears that there is enough meat to retap to 3/8", drill clearance in the bracket, and have wrench clearance for the larger bolts. Any arguments for or against this fix? Any other fixes that are better? |

Dear Gowindward: Thanks for the info. Mine is a different problem, the mounting bolts pulled out of the engine case. I will catalog your fix for a future headache. |
