Do you mean in the tail light? or somewhere else? Lots of Buellers have the LED tail light. I do not, maybe someday. |

the only thing you can really do with an XBs is light up the rear wheel and the right side of the engine.... |

meh.... some under the seat cowl for rear tire lighting, some on both sides of swingarm for a rim lighting, some on the inner left&right side of the frame for a engine lighting, and some tucked under the fairing.... I had taken off the left air cowl so the lights can be shown, but later put it back on due to overheating problems.. learn from others mistakes DONT TAKE IT OFF Ive recently updated the engine lights from pod-lights to light-strips with better results then seen here

not to be a nay-sayer, but i'm wondering if this is a street legal mod. i've had some trouble with jonny-law recently, and don't want any more |

I think so long as your accent lighting is amber and not facing backwards you can stay legal. Any other color though, and all bets are off. Though it never ceases to amaze me just how many regulations cops are willing to overlook. Otherwise you wouldn't be seeing ANY undercar lighting out on the streets, because they're all illegal. ~SM |

Yeah most states require something similar to this: - rear facing lights need to be red - all other lights need to be amber - no blue lights allowed |

And Ochoa- I REALLY like the rear wheel accent lighting! I have never been one to even think about doing LED accent lighting- but that has me thinking now! It would be cool to do that and the front one too. |

http://customdynamics.com/Images/new_5led_step.jpg I have a couple of these in orange on my bike. One under the airbox cover shining out through the intake screen and another tucked up where the tail meets the frame. It shines through the holes on each side of the tail. I haven't decided if I want to put anymore on yet. |

all right, i took some pics... these are the l.e.d.s i used. bought them in bulk from ebay. i got 500 of them. i think i paid around $75 - $100.
the nice thing about these for me was, i just had to drill a 3/8 hole and pop the l.e.d. in. how i mounted them in my head lights...
it kind of gave it the dog eye reflecting light look...
here is a couple of them mounted in the stock right side scoop...
when i wired them all up i hooked them up to a aux fuse, and an on off switch. so they would only be on when i wanted them on. hope that helps you out. brian |

Tru-dat! I've got a set on my Harley that looks sick. But it ain't legal. Keep the switch close by. Mine is under my left thigh so I can turn em off quick should I see a cop. I haven't had any trouble as most cops think it is just a custom show bike. Eventually I'll add some to my Buell once I get it painted the way I want it. The goal is to match this bike with my Bolt, which has a full fairing kit. These are from Swint. It is what they call "Ocean", an alternating blue-green combo. These are both pods and strips. For those wondering, I ran the front wheel ones along the brake/speedo line and then back up the fork to the bottom side of the fender. Unless you're looking, you won't notice the wires anywhere. Came with a pre-wired harness and all connections. I installed these myself in a few hours. Most of the time was spent laying out where I wanted em and how I wanted to route the wires. |

Im going to put two highbeams on my bike.. the dog eye trick is a cool idea.... I too bought LED's in bulk and ended up not using them because it was a pain to set up an array of em.... I ended up going to autolumination.com for lights & power distribution.... then hooked up the lights straight to the battery. ~note~ orange & amber are two different colors, go to radioshack and buy each color led to see what you need.... |

Funk? How goofy is funk? Anyway, it has won numerous bike show & car/bike show awards to date. So someone must like it. Or is it that you just have a thing against custom choppers? Most people on here do. |
