I have a 2001 m-2 cyclone. the front of the pipe is not all the way on the header. yet it is all the way against the mount. Am using my 2001 front mount, do I need to use a 2000 model? and will i have to change the rear mount? Rite now the pipe sits at a slight angle, not in line with the bike. the pipe is in the way of the primary adjustment bolt. have to drop pipe to adjust. any suggestions? |

Is the front tab of the V&H mounted inside the flanges of the revised 01 mount? It sounds like it may be installed outboard of the mount. You must use the V&H supplied Z-bracket in the rear. This replaces the stock item - use the existing fasteners to secure it to the frame. A V&H will interfere with primary chain adjustment just like the stocker, it must be removed for service (not hard once you get used to it). It is a good idea to loosen the fasteners on the exhaust studs where the primaries enter the cylinder heads when installing a new muffler. This reduces stress induced to the system by fitment new components. Don't foget to torque them back to specs. |

With respect to primary adjustment with the V&H, I took an old allen key and cut it off short to fit into the end of the adjuster. No more taking the muffler canister off. |

I've got a '99 M2 with a V&H slip on. I'm finally getting around to updating the front mount...the original owner never bothered and the local shop could never decide to replace it under "good faith"... Can anyone with a similar setup explain (pics would be nice) what you used as a spacer on the Y-mount to fill the gap around V&H bracket? Thanks |

Does up-dating the front mount require the relocating bracket for the voltage regulator on an S2? (I'm not at home and have just ordered the front exhaust mount.) |

You might want to see the conversation "Y mount for tuber" in parts wanted. I just bought the Y mount kit just so I could get that and the rear mount - really good conversation |
