Been tough here in CA, mini heat wave all week, temps in the 70's. Bicycled in my shorts, went for a hike with DeeDee this weekend and sweated my but off because I should have worn shorts. In the pic she was actually overdressed as she took off her sleeveless sweatshirt. Tough all over---just thought I would share with all you folks still experiencing winter.

Winter in the Hudson Valley My next door neighbor's horses enjoying the snow yesterday. Ran into this mini polar bear as we were walking in the state park. Ice fishing in the sate park. A beaver's work is never done... Snowy evergreens. White Birch.

FMJ, firstly: you suck! secondly: here in the mountains of Virginny it's been a tad un-California-like, getting down as low as +1 two nights in a row last week. thirdy: yesterday, however, reached a brilliantly balmy 34 degrees, and yours truly eschewed all that mamby-pamby girlie-man hiking stuff you fruit-and-nutters are so fond of out there in Ahnoldland, fired up the Road King, and actually went riding for an hour or so, a feat made all the more satisfying because it indicates my shoulder is continuing to improve. yes, i'm a mamby-pamby girlie-man, too, as the heated gear was on, plugged in, and turned up on HIGH. but by gawd i rode, making the weekend a 100% total success. Ferris ps: you suck, and hi to Dee Dee. |

Went on a group ride through the Delta down to Rio Vista yesterday. Temps in the low 40's when I left the house, but got up to 70 or so in the afternoon. Clear blue sky all day. |

So we had a dinner party on saturday and as we began to get liquor'd up, the talk, as usual, turns to sex. We're talking about why's and how's Viagra works, two of the women there are RN's, and one says, "I have some here...they're supposed to help with female orgasms."...so being the smartass I am, I took the blue pill and swallowed it. I don't suffer from ED, but will offer this advice to anybody who's thinking of trying it for shits and grins........ Recreational Viagra Use, Not Recommended. (especially if you're a "morning guy" and have to work at 7am the next morning) |

It's easily below zero right now. I mistakenly bought a house on a corner lot this year so I have twice the sidewalk to shovel! There's about 12" in my yard right now... |

Hey Jim, how's the knee holding out? All better I hope. I took my son to the pistol range and hung out yesterday, he had a blast. No pun intended. |

Weekend was nice enough here. About 30 deg(cel)and sunny...with a light breeze. Lemonchili was bummed with no cylinder head ready for X yet though, so just did the housey type stuff and chilled out. Worked on Sunday, but enjoyed the ride there and back, and saw heaps of fellow riders out enjoying the weather. p.s there's some really nice pics in amongst all these guys, thanks for posting. V |

6 of us guys spent 6 days in northern wisconsin running the hell out of the snowmobile trails. it was a riot! just got home at 5:00 this morning. one of my friends blew a head gasket in his formula 700 (on monday afternoon, atleast that was our last riding day) so after we towed it to a town we had to ride 2 up back to the cabin on the zr600 i was borrowing from my dad. my friend and i both have a really aggresive riding style. put 2 of us on the same sled for 30 miles and you are asking for trouble! our group normally runs a pretty fast pace even though half of the group consists of my dad and his friends. they show old doesnt mean slow! so anyway, they told me to go ahead and set the pace up front so they wouldnt leave us behind having the 2 of us on my sled. turns out we surprised them, and with one of the smallest motored and oldest sleds in the group, they couldnt keep up with us on the trails. it had to be a sight. 2 grown men hanging completely off the side of a snowmobile as they drift through the corners at full tilt. for as gay as it seems to have another guy riding with you when your nopt towing his sled anymore, i was laughing histerically about 5 minutes into our trip to the cabin and didnt hardly quit till we got there. we seriously want to get a 2up race started with a big group of people. you should see it when we each have a sled. they guys behind us always say if they didnt know we were each on a different sled, from behind they would think we were riding 2 up because there is almost never more than a few inches between our sleds when we really decide to light them up. we would come drifting sideways through some of the long sweepers on the old fire roads, with the side panels of the sleds rubbing at a good 70 mph. this was our first time ever riding snowmobiles together. he just got into snowmobiles a little more this winter. but we have alot of seat time on bike trips and some track riding together so we can basically predict what the other one is going to do. i dont remember the last time i had so much fun on a snowmobile trip! i didnt take a single pic. never remembered to bring my camera out with us. but hopefully my friend will send me a few he took. |
