The fuel additive for winterising the fuel/carburetor is kind of expensive and seems a waste to dump it all in the fuel tank just to glaze the carburetor, hopefully, with it to prevent build up of varnishes inside tiny orifices- my thought, make a little gas proof "T" fitting with a Scrader, bicycle, valve and put it in the fuel line just beyond the petcock- turn the petcock off while running the engine, pump in a few drops of the additive and when engine dies, your all set. Your thoughts. I frequently leave my bike unridden for up to a month even during the riding season and get so tired of freeing up the carb every time. |
