Yes, it's true... the world would stop it's spin with out Bob to keep it from developing a serious speed-wobble. The sky would fall without the supports Bob is constantly working on. The oceans would spill from their beds leaving no good roads for us to ride, but for Bob and his Heroic Effort on the Great Work. I personaly am going truly bat-scat with no bike to ride. Danm the freakin' WEATHER. I can't even work on the b-itch 'till the sun comes back. Or at least 'till the rain cools it's jets for a while. Where the h-ell is my hammer.... |

And a belated season's greetings to all. Checking out our swank new computer. And now off to the garage to bolt things onto the Sporty. (Then take them off so something else can go on. Then bolt them on. Then take something else off again....) |

Hi Everyone, Need some ideas on the rides this year. Lets start with some dates...SPLASH 2009, third weekd in July is the 24th, 25th, and 26th. Any reason this needs to change? Jimmy you better not have plans!!! No excuses this year buddy! Border Raid 2009, looks like the 3 day weeking is Sept 4th, 5th, 6th 7th. I was thinking of calling a place in Osoyoos that Chris and I stayed at a few years ago and seeing if we could reserve some rooms there for the weekend. There is a pool, walking distance to restaurants, stores ect. Just throwing out some ideas to see if anyone agrees or disagrees. Last year we missed border raid this year I hope we can make it. I am willing to try and make the hotel arrangments if someone else will take control of the routes we can ride. If some one would start new threads for these events we can post there. (I still am not sure how to do it)Just want to get the planning started for what I think is going to be a great year! |

http://www.soundrider.com/sbnw/ Wednesday July 29th through Sunday August 2nd. Not directly conflicting, but would be difficult to get time off for both events. |

Loni Thanks for being so on the ball with the planning. Nothing short of death will ever conflict with SPLASH again! Period! The Border Raid dates are good too. Harv and I have already been looking at routes. Stay tuned and we'll start a new thread for Border Raid. Cheers Fun as always Jimmy |

I got yer retirment right here buddy. Loni, I can hardly wait 'till yer drunk again and start giggiling. I just realized I am a biker with no bike. A cyclist with no cycle. When I was a pro muscian I would always run into these dorks that said they were a guiitar player or some thing, and then say 'but I don't have any equipment.' Pure dorkness. And now I have joined their ranks. I was lying to myself that that black bi-tch could be on the road soon. My rational mind has somehow gained asedency in my conscience and realized that Betty needs much time in Sacred Bob Hospital befor she's gona be able to hit the road... I found a triple-digit rider here at the hospital. Has a '97 Honda Blackbird CBR that looks brand new with no chicken-strips. I'm trying to drag him to the Darkside... he also has a TR1000. So I'm saving for a used bike. Mabey something totaled for the plastic that I can make into a 'naked' battel steed. (Message edited by sparropie on January 14, 2009) |

Hey there Galen! Me get drunk and giggle, no way! Since I have only had 1 bloody mary since Thanksgiving...?? What's wrong with me!! I am glad that the dates are working out okay, need to hear from Bob, Deb, Mike, Duane and others. This weekend I will try and see if there is room at the motel in Osoyoos for us. That same weekend there is a Harley group that also stays there and the owner usually saves the whole place for them. Maybe they will share a few rooms. Thanks Jimmy and Harv for looking into some good routes for us. I really am looking forward to doing both rides this year. We are not planning any big vacations so this will be some of our get away time. Hey Shotgun, Do you know how to get ahold of Spudman to see if he could meet up with us on Border Raid? Are you planning on going this year? Retirement must be nice! |

Can't speak for anyone else but I'm in for what ever. Seems this will be a year for toning things down and watching the spending. (If there's any thing to spend) Deb is on the verge of having a cane to assist walking and could be riding in a few weeks! Happy times in the Rain Forest, Bob |

.....to see if he could meet up with us on Border Raid? What the h e l l! I'm not welcome at Splash anymore, well poo on you! The buell is down right now, has been for a while. And I'm not sure I can trust it anymore on any long journey. I've had to trailer it home from two different Splash runs, no fun. Maybe that's why you don't want me there anymore, a single tear drops from my cheek and onto the keyboard. But I'm rolling on a German product these days, and the pace of life has slowed to just chaos. So piss on you, I'm gonna show up to Splash and BorderRaid this year even if you don't want me there. Looking forward to seeing all your ugly faces again. |

You have not changed any have you Spudman! I knew you were lurking out there. I was just thinking maybe Border Raid would be closer for a Old Man like you to ride too! But if you think that SPLASH is not going to wear you down then please do join us. Always remember your one of us and your face is not that preaty to look at either. Hows is Trixie, the kids, and oh your a "Grandpa" right? Bet you are enjoying that role. Keep in touch, and it really would be nice to have you at BOTH events this year. Bob, I am so happy Deb is doing better. Take Care, |

Hey guys im new to the board, I posted in a couple threads above. Im looking a Buell Club, or just a group of Washington Buellers that like to get together and ride. Im in Wenatchee so east or western washington makes no difference. Im a mature rider but definetly love the twisties and just sport riding in general. I ride an '08 XB12R, I look forward to riding with you guys in the future. |

I don't think many folks here ride Buell's any more... They're still great folks tho, so we let that slide. I've got an 1125R and would enjoy riding with you. Look me up when you come to the Westside. |

Harv, I will release more info as it dribbles in. Any luck finding a Bike? or figuring out what to buy. Look on www.advrider.com in the Flea Market under bikes. Damn there is a ton of them. Buying a used dual sport makes good sense. There already farkled and someone took the big purchase hit. Bob

I used to have a girlfriend who'd walk around the house with nothing but a T-shirt on. It looks different when FMJ does it. |
