Minnesota On the sixth day God turned to the Archangel Gabriel and said,"Today, I am going to create a land called Minnesota . It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty, a land of countless glaciers, pure lakes each one full of fish. It shall have tall majestic pines, peacefully flowing rivers, landscapes full of tall grass, and eagles, beautiful blue skies, forests full of bear, elk and deer, rich farmland and fair-minded people.' God continued, 'I shall make the land rich in resources so as to make the inhabitants prosper and they shall be known as a most friendly people, people who practice being “Minnesota Nice” every day.' But Lord,' asked Gabriel, 'don't you think you are being too generous to these people of Minnesota ?' 'Not really,' replied God 'just wait and see the winters I am going to give them.' AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY ! Enjoy, Mike |

Now that I reread this I am thinking that if Al Franken wins the senate Minnesotans deserve the winter that they get. |

Oh, and after a few -20 or lower mornings here this past week, that "ditty" couldn't be more accurate. Folks, that's air temp not wind chill. That was around -40 to -45 or so.... Brad |

I started after the snow pile today so that I can get my trailer out in March. It's worse now than last year. |

It's 16°F and snowing here.; and the snow isn't supposed to stop until tomorrow. While it may be colder or the snow may be deeper in other places, one thing remains the same; WINTER SUCKS |

I don't even buy a fishing license in Iowa. Most lakes you can't see more than about 6". I'm used to seeing at least 5'. Of course I fish more for something to do than to catch fish. I will be coming up for the St.Paul Winterfest next weekend (no fishing though). |

Hmmmmm, went snowboarding the other day. Cold? Yes! But nothing that a little flask of Dr couldnt take care of. I like the winter, thats why I live in WI! If I didnt like it, I would be in FL or TX. |

Brad- Well we got a late start on Saturday and didn't get up there till around 2. It was still too damn cold to go outside. Today we decided to give it a shot and sure enough, it was still too cold to be out. Those ice sculptures were pretty cool though, not much else to see. I'm coming up for the Fleetwood Mac concert in March and won't be heading home until Wed. 3/4. Let's get together for lunch then. |
