all S3 body parts are interchangeable as far as fit, but there were some differences in paint color and decals. but all should interchange as far as mounting, AFAIK. |

Thanks, most Harley dealers know very little about Buells. This is a great sight. |

"most Harley dealers know very little about Buells" The last time I went to a dealership, one of the salespeople was kind enough to explain that since I'm used to a 1200cc Buell, I would not be happy with the performance of the "smaller" 1125cc bikes. |

And if you talk to them long enough you will find out that they know about as much about Harley-Davisons !!! (Message edited by buellistic on January 16, 2009) |

You have to watch the hinges on some of the bags and lids. Some have a "pin" hinge and some have a "drop in" hinge. The 2 won't interchange. I posted pics of the 2 different hinges a while back. |

Through '98 is a pin. '99 on is a hinge. There's a kit to modify from old to new if you need to change them, but I don't know the number. If you have the frame for the bags, any year S3T bag will attach to the frame. (Message edited by easy_rider on January 17, 2009) |

All S3 body parts are interchangeable from 97 through 02, but that does not mean they are all the same. Seats were different but interchange. Some improvements in the bags were made and the fairing aquired a lip in later years to add a bit of strength. TJ |
