Boy,Erik Buell is making excellent mechanics out of these Badwebber's here. It IS unfortunate NorCal is the latest victim. To NorCal,i suggest you VERY politely and clearly call Buell customer service and inform them of your plight. Also, make the same request from your dealer. It's a shame a couple 1125 owners are having these problems If it was me,with my temper,i'd be on fire. I couldn't possibly contain myself.Keep the faith NorCal |

if you remember the xb with interactive exhaust. well the 1125r does not have that but it works simillar on the intake manifold |

ducxl ; the truth is he just needs to get it to jersey and put it on my lift.option two is say the magic words to the dealer he bought it from (lemon law)they will take there time and figure it out.all they have to do is hook it up to digi tech and ride it and take a recording. |

Ok first off, I'm not saying that the condition is right.... it's not. BUT as Dentguy said, why do you always hit the kill switch and not turn it to "run" until right before you hit the start button? Try leaving it in "run" the entire time the key is on maybe? Just a thought. |

Hmmm...Interesting observation! Not that I know the kill switch to be an issue, but I always use the kill switch to turn off the engine (in lieu of key) and always turn it on before the key. |

so i got a call on my bike today....... the hot start is due to a lack off fuel pressure do to a battery with insificiant voltage?........? tech said bike had thrown a low fuel pressure code(engine light) and system voltage code(battery light). recall work is getting done too. my bike only sits while i sleep and while i work and i ride for 1 hr. each way. stator or alternator, voltage regulater? who knows, but its got to be something. could it be related to bad hot start?who knows? warranty? service department has been great and i think they like the fact i use words like please and thankyou. |

In another thread Spectrum Posted on Friday, January 16, 2009 - 01:39 pm: The 08 charging system is 32amps 420W peak. While the 09 is 37amps 520W peak. Which brings up the question, what's the part number for the 09 stator? Buelltech6 Posted on Friday, January 16, 2009 - 07:26 pm: buell will soon offer these kits as warranty kits going out to dealers in wave shipments keep your wallets locked up http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/429441.html?1232162417 |

Not sure what the deal is about the kill switch. I hardly ever use it and have no problem. |

the 09 part number is (y0442.2am)08 is(yo442.1ama) more windings i guess its better than more magnets on rotor because it reduces reciprocating weight |

Good question Zack....I have the same symptom and would like to know what the resolution is. I found that WOT will force the engine to breath and fire up....not the right way but it gets me back on the road. |

Problem not solved. Going to dealership when weather is better. I live 15 miles from there, transportation is the bike and my Blazer. |

Update - I dropped bike off at Harley for 1000 mile maintenance, burned out front-left turn signal, and the hot start issue. Techs told me they rode it and didn't have the issue at the time. They said there were some updates from Buell and they uploaded them. It is running good for now, I will keep everyone posted. P.S. They also said they have sold 5 bikes in the last few months and I am the only one that has come back with issues. |
