John and I got together for a ride today. It was a Beulltiful day to go out, so we went over Yarnell pass, through the Spars, and had lunch in Prescott. There was a little snow on the sides of the road where the sun didn't shine, but other than that, the road was smooth, and clean. This was at our first stop in Peoples Valley, just below Yarnell:
This was at the top of Yarnell Pass, on the way back:
John was sure enjoying his "sick" day. I'm glad he found the right "medicine" to cure what ailed him!
Saturday we are planning on riding out to Tortilla Flats for lunch. I'll be meeting John along I-17 and T-bird, and we plan to stop in Chandler/Gilbert at Mesa Dr. and baseline to meet up with Kelly and Lisette. If anyone else wants to come along, you are more than welcome. We will probably be leaving around 9AM. Good luck Andrew!!! |

Bart, it really is cruel to send those kinda pics to my phone when both of my bikes are outta commission. But, I've decided to forgive you, since I'm going to pick one of them up and ride it home today. I'm going to enjoy that ride, even if I get frostbite and hypothermia. When can I come visit???? |

little carrier pigeon left me a nice parcel on the front porch...a brand spanking new wiring harness for the CB750...now if I can just get an o-ring for the carbs... I need more then that, but at least I am at a point where I can work on it and expect to have real progress. |

Warning to all that want to go up to Tortilla Flats... The road is really dusty, you pick your line to go into a turn and the dirt all over the road just makes you fish tail and loose everything. Just be careful. The road needs to be repaved, it is all rutted out and adds to the *scarriness* of the road, it makes the suspension just jump off the road. Just a warning, but still beautiful! |

You should be able to go to the site and ask to join. you would put in the name you want to go by and a password. then you can go to the site, and add photos, etc. Once people sign up, you can send out one email reminding people of events, etc. They go directly to you. it can be as active as you want it. REX it is a good way to get the word out to everyone at once. |

Rex and fellow AZ Buellers, Has anyone considered doing a March Badness West coast edition? I did the MBV last year and just like the years before the weather was crap but the company was the best. I not going to be able to make it east to join the fun this year and need something to fill the void in my life. After moving out west I think a Buelluary or Barch get together for west coasters could happen in AZ!! There are a ton of great day rides in the PHX and Tuscon area to fill a weekend. Having moved here from the east, where would be a good central location to base from? Is AZ the best area to do this or is SoCal have better riding? If not for the west coast how about just the AZ riders up for a ride Presidents day weekend? I know thats the same weekend as Valentines day so it could be a bad choice for a weekend ride. Open for any and all suggestions. Lest ride!!!! and give the gloomy east coasters something to envy. |

For more information about ASBN - visit AmericanSportBikeNightArizona@yahoogroups.com Our first meeting with be Monday night, Feb. 2nd, at 6 :30 pm. Chase's Diner @ 2040 N. Alma School Road. Chandler, Arizona 85224. We will be looking at meeting the first Monday of each month at a consistent location, that will not change. it is easier this way, since no one has to wonder where it will be this month. WE can discuss this location at our Feb. meeting. The heart attack grille in Chandler has been discussed, and I just saw a Chuey's on Warner, between Gilbert and Val Vista. Good bike parking, space to meet and talk, etc. I will bring a list of rides and places that could be happening this year, that we can put on our calendar. Please, as listed above, come up with destination rides we can post for all Buell Enthusiasts in our Arizona area to know about and attend. For example: Heart attack Grille ride. April 4,5, and 6th. California Coast Blast Ride. April 24,25 S2 Buell Gathering. Colorado. June 19th and 20th. Buell Homecoming? Moto GP. Laguna Seca. July Flagstaff Tortilla Flats Bisbee, Tombstone Laughlin Payson Just a few we can start discussing.
