Verdad (truth!) A-V is going to be sponsoring me (XB) and Pinson (1125R) in the coming season at Willow Springs and Pinson in MotoST. They're actually starting to get interested in the Buell brand - Scott Kellerman (GM) is a serious Buell enthusiast. Their mechanics are getting up to speed on these machines and are starting to take a personal interest. Good folks - and they're destined for sponsorship here on Badweb too! |

Slaughter (Rage!) That's freaking cool. I'd like to get out out there and watch that. I think Steve in the Service Dept told me that the GM actually owned an XB12 (around an 06, I believe). But no doubt, they are the most enthusiastic dealer in the region when it comes to Buell. Steve was saying the folks there really want Buell owners to feel just at home as the HD riders do. I'm damn near infatuated with my XT, and have no idea really how anyone couldn't be, let alone the very people who are supposed to be selling them. |

I asked my dealer about it, after I got the letter (that i left at home) they said they didn't know about it and hadn't recieved any info on it. They didn't seem like they really wanted to go out of thier way to find out about it. On the other hand if I was worried about it I would have told him to look it up and I'm sure he would've. But the zip tie I put on it seems to be holding up very well. Actually the black zip tie looks better anyways... I'll bring it up before my next service and remember to bring the letter this time. |

+1 what Skinstains said, get the service manual and do it yourself. This is my first bike and my dad, me and a few friends installed suspension from an SL on my 9r in around 2-3 hours. Saved alotta money, only price was 30 pack of Bud Light. Some HD dealers are cool with Buells, others treat us like redheaded stepchildren (no offense any redheaded stepchildren, just a folksy saying). Frederick HD is definltey Buell-friendly if anyone lives in Maryland. |

Russ (Verdad), Scott - the GM acutally owns a Uly... he and his wife went to Homecoming last year. We rented the Uly from Hals and both rode all over the place. Steve (service writer) and a couple of their mechanics are seriously learning these beasties. There is hope. We're going to be doing a BBQ when the weather gets better - April-ish - live music, free food. A bunch of sportbike and dual-sport friends will be invited too. Gonna be a good year. |

I don't even bother with the stealerships anymore, They just rip you off. Get the factory manual and learn to be your own mechanic. Once they tried to charge me $800.00 to fix a dropped exhaust valve, And i fixed it myself in 2 hrs and im not even a mechanic, I have pictures to prove the work while i was doing the work. Screw HD THEY SUX BALLS. |

That sounds great brother. Out here we tend to keep cooking out despite the weather. Steve was telling me they had a get together planned for around the Spring time frame. I'm hoping it does happen around April just so I can hopefully plan my work schedule around it. A couple friends and I (non-Buellers, unfortunately) were riding after we had "all that snow" a few weeks ago. Something about riding through the desert when there is snow on the ground is just cool. I'm originally from the mid-West, where it's a high of below zero right now, and I can for sure say I'll never be going back there just for the fact I'm still riding and it's January. |
