Temp right now in Indianapolis is -5, with a low of -12 tonight. So much for Global Warming. |

Yeah, I hate this time of year. In Appleton, WI it's -15 and -38 with the wind chill. Could be worse though - like up in Canada. I saw -50's and worse up there this morning on the news. |

If Al Gore can invent the internet, he can invent global warming as well! |

Latest news is that using the Internet causes global warming. So Al Gore invented the Internet AND global warming. |

do believe it is happening. Of course it happens, that is why we have things like the ice age and dinosaurs and the climate we are in right now. It all has to do with the big glowing orb in the sky and the movement of celestial bodies. The big thing is the amount that we are causing and the panic that all of a sudden the planet's temp is going to shoot up into the triple digits overnight... |

It all has to do with the big glowing orb in the sky and the movement of celestial bodies. The Strip Club across the street is causing Global Warming? |

<not caught up in panic. but, certainly cutting back on pollution and greenhouse gases isn't a bad thing. a good excuse to ride everywhere i can, if you ask me. not that owning the most fun motorcycle i've ever saddled isn't excuse enough on its own. |

I wondered if this thread would pop up with most of the country (best country ever I have to say) experiencing record lows. Mine isn't as bad as some of you'uns, I woke up to 10 degrees this morning. Supposed to be colder tomorrow. I don't feel so bad that my bike is in 1,546 different pieces in 14 different boxes. |

The Strip Club across the street is causing Global Warming? Depends, did they wax the pole? If they didn't the excessive friction could cause too much heat :-P |

Some of it may have been residual wax from a recent waxing. |

Interesting how the "Drive By Media" and the "Change" fanatics have changed the term from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change" when all the stats said things were cooling off. For the record, it was -23 here this morning, wind chill was around -50 or so. Our weiner dog refused to go outside and do his morning business. I had to carry him out and set him on a shovled out section of the lawn! He did a quick pee then stopped and alternated feet and stared at me. I had to carry him back in. Now that's cold folks! Ya can't just keep piling up ice and snow on the poles forever or the earth will become an elongated egg shape, and get off balance.......so we have to melt a little off once in a while so the poles don't shift on their spin axis. This also avoids glaciers. Can you imagine a pole shift of say 500 miles from being out of balance? |

Let's not forget that a mere 30 years ago there was a movement in the scientific community that swore we were on the verge of a new ice age. They had lots of "proof" too. With the right amount of "funding", they would probably be willing to say the oceans are drying up from filling our swimming pools. ~SM |
