Don't have a pic, but was at my local dealer looking at the XP, and I noticed that there is piece on the handle bar to hold the clutch cable! I went and looked at some older pics of the 09 demos, and yes it is visible. You can kinda see it here, warning, big ass photo: http://www.froggypwns.com/images/2008-08-30/IMG_37 28.JPG It looks like its welded to the bar, not some kind of removable clip. |

Yeah froggy...I noticed that a couple weeks ago when I was up at High Country Buell visiting Dave and Zac. I was half tempted to order an '09 set of bars, but then I would have to powdercoat them black! Besides, the one Crusty gave me at Homecoming 2007 is still working great!!! |

Hey Froggy, Do you have a part # for the '09 bars? Thanks |

I'm surprised they didn't mention the bazootie on the 09 model release. Well, hell- I guess it's time to trade up. Seriously- that is pretty cool. |

I have my garage door opener, wrapped in a black balloon, zip-tied to the crossbar, with the zip-tie holding the cable back so I can see the dash. It works pretty well, but it is not nearly as nice as having a purpose-built one like that! Just think, by the time they come out with the 1125-powered Uly, they'll have all those little bugs worked out! |

Yea I am shocked that I never noticed it sooner. I will be stealing one off Crusty's bike tomorrow. |

Crusty should get credit for that one! |

For $60 I get the bazootie and don't need to drill out the bars for the heated grips install. |

Damn you and your excessively simple solution! I need a carbon fiber gas charged shock with spring to hold mine. |

Froggy, I applaud your idea, but i don't see that it depends on any other systems. Can we add some kind of meter or light to it so that we'll have an excuse to add a wire or two? Thanks |

Yes, we can make it have variable damping, so we will need a gauge, lights, and some kind of feed for the ECM so it can dynamically adjust it depending on the AFV |

Don't forget a forward-facing LED light so I can read my dash-mounted thermometer at night. Ice happens in the dark, too...and my '06's zip-tie is too small to mount an LED pod on |

A welcome improvement, but it appears very poorly fit. Cable is at significant angle relative to new cable hanger/support. Where they meet, the bracket and cable should run co-linearly. Buell can do better, much better. |

Hence why I suggested the carbon fiber adjustable spring with shock and LED readout |

Don't forget the GPS with mind reading capability. Seriously though. Improvement is simple? Existing Clutch Cable Tie/Support
Just a very slight modification yields great improvement?

No chance, at least not until I am sure all of you guys have a bazootie of your own. Then.....maybe. |

I just used 2 adel clamps (one on the bar and one on the cable, connected with one small bolt and acorn nut) to hold the cable in place. Simple, works and very cost effective. |

Hey Skinstains, what kind of killer pup is that? We had a Humane Society mutt that was Klumber Spaniel mixed with ? that looked just like that as a puppy! I'd swear it's Kompie reincarnated! Full-grown, he looked just like Falcor the Luckdragon from The Never Ending Story... |
