While looking for what's new on their site I noted this picture in the bodywork section:http://en.freespirits.it/catalog/popimg.php?img=ht tp://www.freespirits.it/catalog/uploads/257_100_02 91s.jpg&title=Buell 1125R Solo Seat kitIt looks like they flipped it over since the exhaust exits on the opposite side of the XB application. What interests me is the longer piping in the exhaust for midrange tuning according to the XB add for the product.

Interesting.

I like the mini belly pan.

I like them because they tie in the bottom of the engine with the rest of the bike.

Tuber, chin spoiler
XB, chin spoiler
1125, shit weld stove pipe for a chin spoiler

One of the MAIN problems with the pipes that are coming out for the 1125 (besides having no performance benefits) is that they look silly and don't fill the gap below the engine with any aesthetic aplomb.

I like the gap. Makes the bike look tougher and more utilitarian of something to me.

Oh, and Trojan posted that exact same picture a few months back. If I remember correctly, there are exits on both sides of the pipe, and it only comes in a full-exhaust version (not just a slip-on).

Utilitarian is great for an X or a KLR, but for a sportbike or naked street fighter, much needs to be built into the aesthetic component as well.

The GP end tip with the long lead pipe look is crap and ruins the bike.

I guess we'll have to disagree, ft. Maybe not so much for the R, but I think the looks of the CR improve with something like the Jardine installed.

For those who want chin spoilers, aren't there already a couple of belly pans out there that could be used?

There isn't a "chin fairing" available for 1125 currently. There is only a complete lower. That is NOT what I am looking for. Would look OK on the R but would look like crap on the CR.

I'm looking for a smaller chin fairing or belly pan like what is pictured in the Free Spirits picture. Very minimal.

I just think the pipe alone running all the way from the collector back to a megaphone looks redneck and home made. It also creates a HUGE void space below the motor that ruins the looks of the bike.

THAT is the main function of the "dogbone" is to fill the voidspace below the muffler. That's why it is the shape it is.

I'd rather see the performance improved, the sound improved AND preserve the fitment of the space below the engine. A light weight bikini fairing would fill space without adding much weight.

Jeremy(Ft_bstrd), how about Airtech's belly pan at $197.77. Looks kind of minimal and might just fit your bill. "airtech-streamlining.com" A little expensive but their fiberglass is top rate. Used their Suzuki RS900 full fairing on my M2 as seen in my profile. Bob
