I want to take the front brackets off of my Lightning, the ones that hold the speedo and headlights and all that, to paint them black. I began tearing it apart only to find these crazy looking torque bolts and now I am stuck... What do I have to do to get the left and right side off so I can paint them? Help would be greatly appreciated, this is a project I wanted to do today on my day off. |

security (tamper resistant) torx, you can try a needle nose vice grips, or drill a hole in the end of the torx driver that is the right size, or buy one from snap-on. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=all& Group_ID=159&store=snapon-store |

You can get bits for tamper resistant torx several places. HF even carries them. |
