Ordered my 36L carabous and they arrived this morning. Pretty straight forward instructions, with color pics. Two up pics coming soon!!! |

Your rear mounting tabs look different than mine. Check this thread. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/413548.html The round tabs are facing forward on yours, rearward on mine. Who's wrong? NUTS |

You are right Nuts. Had to reverse mine, but didn't notice my mistake until I mou nted the cases. Instructions were a little vague or I was working on too much of this!! I posted up some other pics of the install in the Beasts section of ADVrider. |

the cases are great for carrying beer, but not so apparently for small children.... |

Ever try to go through one of those drive through places in PA for beer on a motorbike? They wouldn't sell me a 12 pack; I had to buy the whole case. Or eighteen 20 ounce bottles. It would've been alright, but I was camping the night and headed a LOOOOOOONG way home in the morning. NUTS |

You have Hardigg cases? I notice that you can't fold the pillion footrests using Hardigg bags. Any particular reason that you chose Hardiggs over Pelicans? (Other than the extra 1 litre sorage!) |

The hardigg boxes have a much nicer latch. No squeezing, prying, fiddling, just push the big button and lift. I also have another hardigg case in the same size I would like to use as a top-case. I purchased it first and that's how I discovered the crappy pelican latch. I am not sure the Pelican cased Caribous will allow the passenger peg to fold either. I looked at all the dimensions: inner, outer and after it was said and done I'm glad to have chosen the Hardigg's. I will be removing my passenger pegs and replacing with a slider of some sorts to eliminate the problem. |

Thanks Nutsosane. I am thinking of going down the Caribou route myself and I noticed on the Caribou website that it specifically says that the footrests cannot be folded when using the 36 and 40 litre cases. It doesn't mention anything when using the 35 litre cases. |

They look very professional...sort of like big briefcases on a Buell. You titled this thread "Caribous Again". Does that mean this is a second set? |

Longdog, the only guy I can think of that has posted about owning them is Chadleys1. He had the pelican cases and posted pics. A search should turn it up. I lost the information for the Uly specific hand muffs. Do you still have the info? NUTS |

Hi Nuts, Here is the guy's address. The muffs are Tucano Urbano Hi Mike, How are you guys keeping? Jill and I were just saying today, we should come over and see every one next month. I tried to get a local meet going here over the summer, but there seems to be a slight lack of interest. Muffs are £40.00, please send a cheque payable to J.Campbell. 6 Saddle Back Close, Calne.
