Track Calander Check out Boston Moto's track days too. I will be a control rider for them, and I will be at the Pocono and Loudon dates. I will probably do a Tony's day too depending on money. |

I thought everyone knew E-W was my first born? Did'nt you meet him at the track back when? Any how the posabilaty of me runnin at the speed-way jest took a big blow. I am as of 7:00am today unemployed. Laid off no work, me along with half the company went bye bye. There goes the cash reserves. If I don't get a large(1 mill should do) gov bail out I'm toast. For hire 1 top notch 20+ year experanced Heavy Equiptment Operator: Excavator(JD or Cat controls), Back-hoe, Front End Loader, Dozer, Bobcat, Roller/Compactors. Any leads will help. I know there ain't no jobs, construction has been hit hard in most places, I'm susprised I lasted this long. |

Yeah, I met him, that's what makes it so funny. I knew he, E_W, had a X1, but it wasn't until he made a comment on NESR that I realized that he was the same person that I met on our rookie race weekend. I've been a regular at NESR since 10/07, and it wasn't until yesterday that I figured this out. Sorry to hear about the job. (Message edited by eboos on January 06, 2009) |

hate to change the stream of (un)conscousnuss you got going on here but I'm about to testify - I think I can call myself a true bad weather bueller now. I fitted my 03 XB9s with heated grips, handguards and a clear ceebailey's wind deflector. I took it out for a ride over the weekend on back roads and highway at sub 30 temp and no problem. Amazing because I'm extremely cold sensitive in my hands and neck and I was wearing only engineer boots, jeans, a leather jacket, helmet and snowmobile gloves. Nothing but the heated grips to provide heat. For safety I changed my bike color back from arctic white to arctic yellow snow (the stock 03 yellow). I think with a heated vest and thermal underwear I could ride forever. |

Danny- That blows. You ever think about working overseas? I've run into a lot of guys like you (dirty old men) in the sandbox who have banked their retirement tenfold in just a couple of years. Look at KBR, DynCorp, Halliburton and the like. Lotsa dirt to push around out there. Ph- If you're looking to invest in some heated gear, get some Tourmaster Synergy stuff from Tonker. I've got the jacket & the gloves (and Army surplus ECW pant liners - $5 - to keep my legs warm) and couldn't be happier with the setup. The Synergy gear heats by infrared through a carbon fiber mesh, so you don't get the whole electric blanket effect of having a wire laced through the jacket with a bunch of weird hotspots. Plus, it shuts off if your battery gets too low. Damn thing's so hot I rarely crank it all the way up. And oh yeah-- way cheaper than the stuff from Aerostich or BMW. Add a decent balacava (Under Armor ColdGear is the best) and you'll be golden. |

SHWEET!!!! can ya get about a foot of square tube as well? I probably need 2 flat pieces, each one ~10" square. I don't need it right away. Maybe I can meet up you when you hit your in-laws one weekend. |

Actually they don't need to be that big. I have, I think, a 5.5 bolt pattern. So 8" square/round would do. Stupid stock spare tire holder won't even hold a 30" BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tire. Oh yea and thanks man!!! |

1/4" flat stock? what size square stock 1"x1", 1 1/2 x 1 1/2, or 2 x 2? black iron or stainless? (Message edited by ustorque on January 08, 2009) |

1/4 should be good & 2X2 tube should be fine. I have never welded stainless. It's going to be hidden so it doesn't have to be anything special. |
