I just purchased an 09 1125R (white), and so far I love it. The oil level check procedure is a bit ridiculous, but I'm hoping I'll get the hang of it. Anyway, I bought a Pit-Bull rear stand prior to getting the bike and it doesn't fit. I got the one with that can be used on bikes with or without spools. Unfortunately, even set to its widest point it is still too narrow to reach the spools. Does anyone know if pit-bull or some other company makes a spool stand that will fit? |

Pit bull makes a very specific rear stand just for the 1125's down curved swing arm. The Pit Bull guys had a booth at Laguna Seca last year and they showed me the 1125R stand. It wasn't for spools but it held the swing arm securely. |

I saw that 1125r stand in another post, but it seems like a waste to not have a spool stand given that the 09 models have spools. Perhaps a different brand of stand makes one? |

My T-Rex stands were wide enough on the 08, so they should be wide enough for the spools on the 09's me thinks.

Cutty72, I can't tell from the photo, but it looks like the T-Rex rear stand has no provision for keeping the swingarm from sliding (whereas you can see the Pitbull version cradles the swingarm corner with rollers). Am I missing something here? |

T-Rex must make several model width stands. The ones I had for my XB would not fit the 1125R. Make sure to check the dimensions of the T-Rex first. I ended up getting the Pit Bull Stand. |

i found that the big plates on the pitbull stand are awkward for wheel removal when i borrowed one at Jennings. it might be that it was mostly my unfamiliarity but i think those plates are overkill. i have been changing tires with a forklift and some straps to the passenger peg mounts. i have been using a cheap LP adjustable spool stand and dark-horse through the axle spool sliders at the track for the warmers. the pitbull does work. tim |

Use a floor jack and spread the Pitbull stand.

No, it's a stock 08 swingarm. I made the spools and also sell them. Search on google or see my profile, you'll find them. (Message edited by d_adams on January 04, 2009) |

Being the really poor type, I couldn't afford a stand. Instead, I used jackstands to prop the bike up by the passenger peg mounts. I placed a rag on each jackstand foot to avoid scratching/bending the peg mount. It wasn't overly stable, but, it allowed me to change the rear tire. |

Hmm, with a little modification to my T-Rex rear stand I was able to use it on my 08 1125rt. I did have to add some 1/4"x~1" long key stock to the underside of the swingarm to keep the stand from sliding. Time2Run |

I finally got the stand from Pit-Bull that fits the 1125R. It is not the swingarm cradling one designed spefically for the bike though. Pit-Bull makes a spooled/standard stand that is designed to fit custom bikes with 240-300mm rear tires. The spools on the 2009 1125R work well with the stand except on the left side I had to cut off the taller prong on the stand's spool holder so I wouldn't rub on the swingarm. The stand isn't shown on their website, but I think the part number is F0079-000 |
