I have a chance to buy a stock '04 with 7k miles on it for a really good price (I think). I can't keep another bike so I would like to resell it. What are these bikes selling for today. Real world not enthusiasts inflated prices? |

I have been sort of keeping an eye out for a cheapo blast but they don't seem to depreciate lower than $2000. The lowest price I saw was $1500 and that one was in such bad shape that it wasn't worth taking a leak on! (they were using it off road and left it outside all the time. everything was rusted and scraped.) |

The resale seems to stay between $2,000 and $2,500. Not much more and not much less. They're not a quick-turnaround-make-a-profit item but they are fun as @#$# to ride! |

I too have been looking for one, but like you said they have not hit below 2000. I would like to have one and put the motor in an xb frame. enlarge the motor to 600 cc. I think that would be fun. rex I also like the flat track version of them too. |

Bad petcock? Probably a kink in the tank vent line. That happened to me. Haven't heard of a bad petcock. That's just too easy to replace, even for me. |

The Blast pulls double duty. It's actually for my girlfriend but I ride it more than she does. I use it for the 70 mile RT commute to work to keep the miles off the XB since it has almost 27K on it. It's a fun bike for sure. If you have time you can find them really cheap. I found my Blast on Craigslist but it took me a couple of months. I was going to buy an 01 with 6K on it for $1300 that was in NY but found the 03 about an hour away. Quick search, don't know if these are still available but you can find some really good deals out there. $1800 http://nh.craigslist.org/mcy/975128022.html $1800 http://nh.craigslist.org/mcy/959608010.html HEY NATE, HERE YA GO!! $1000 http://nh.craigslist.org/mcy/970529442.html |
