Weird. My X1 has always felt completely planted above 100. Are you sure that the damper isn't covering up some other issue? How are your steering bearings and front engine isolator? |

IMO, your throwing off the bikes suspension balance with that shock.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11WboQWI9bA&feature =channel_page I've heard by pros, tv, and buddy's that for the street the bike should rock about 3times Im guessing thats your rear shock your replacing? unless you're replacing the front end too.. the bike may feel 'better' but may be way off. If you have any part of the bike's suspension that is stiffer than the other (front or back) it will throw the other end off and be squirmy |

Ochoa, he did the right thing going to the works shock, stock tuber shocks sucked bad. |

well i was just commenting to the stability of the bike at higher speeds with the steering stabilizer. it feels more effortless. i have replaced all wheel bearings and headset bearings. just last week. it just feels more better. lol OCHOA: as far as the suspension goes i have set it all properly. like as far as sag and rebound settings. how much the bike rocks or how stiff the bikes settings are all debatable and more of a personal pref. The only way 100mph is going to feel like 55mph is with a big-ass FAIRING in front of you. Precisely why I traded the XB12Ss for the 1125R. |

Thanks to my Ss and my '08 Mustang GT, I find that anything under 70 mph feels like I'm crawling now. I can remember when I thought 60 was fast. Hell, I can remember hitting 35 mph on a Yamaha 225 dual sport and nearly wetting myself. Funny how experience changes all that. ~SM |
