Great. How about the first Monday of each Month. It is good to be consistent. Always meeting the same time of the month, Same day of the month, and always have the meeting at the same place. Makes things easier for people to remember. (I do a lot of traveling during the year. ) (I am always in Northern Cal the Second week of the month for a Second Tuesday of the month meeting. ) I could meet most of the time the first Monday of a month (only two months the first Monday of the month happens along with the the second tuesday, which is September and December) The first monday of the month for the year would be as follows: -January 5th -Feb. 2nd -March 2nd -April 5th -May 4th -June 1st -July 6th -August 3rd -September 7th -October 5th -November 2nd -December 7th Time: 6 pm or 6:30 pm always seems to work. Not too late, and not too early. Location: It is good to have a place that lets members have a place to park their bikes and see them from the windows. Let's the group put up banners or displays. Let's the group have a private sort of area, in case you want to show videos, have a sound system, bring in bikes to talk about etc. and the attendee can order their own food, without having a special waitress to try and come in during a meeting and take orders. Somewhere in the East valley would be good. Chandler, Gilbert, etc. maybe we could even get a local dealer to participate, or some local shops, and motorcycle publications. Any thoughts on a location. It would be good to not have to pay for the room either. This has worked for the last 10 years in Northern cal. and the group has remained consistent in meeting, holiday or not. Everyone always knows someone will be there. I have a sound system and a mic. This is good to have sometimes. Nothing is worse than not being able to hear someone. It helps if someone has a video or presentation too. I can gather up some Buell banners also, from either Buell or some other local sources. I have no problem in helping bring these and set up the room, if it is fairly close to me. I live in Gilbert. wayne, i'm still undecided on jan. buell does not pay contingency in jan, payouts don't start until feb. so i have to decide on whether or not to spend the money for no return. my classes are sportsman classes and the points do not count toward a top ten plate, so unless i'm looking to win the thunderbike or supertwin classes its not worth running jan. | ||
